Anti-Bullying Lunchtime Program provides schools with a positive activity for students to curb fighting and eliminate negative activities among students during lunch period. Low COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) course activities are utilized and students participate in sports theme activities. The low cope course activity is used for communication, cooperation, decision making, leadership and teamwork. This program is at the 4 elementary schools 3rd thru 5th grade level. The students participate 4 times a month for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

(HMSA) Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA) Centers and offices offer in-person customer service to members and employers with an HMSA health plan as well as individuals who are looking to enroll in an HMSA plan. (Ka Pa'alana, Ka Paalana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program, Partners in Development Ka Paalana, Partners in Development K Paalana Traveling Preschool, PIDF Ka Paalana Traveling Preschool) The Ka Pa‘alana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program serves houseless families on the Leeward coast of O‘ahu as well as Kaka‘ako, and Hilo on Hawai‘i Island. Through collaborative partnerships with Leeward coast outreach agencies, Ka Pa‘alana assists families by delivering or providing access to essential services, such as a parent-child participatory preschool, basic needs items and more. Ka Pa‘alana also serves as an initial contact agency for families who are ready to transition to local shelters or temporary housing facilities. There are three components to the Ka Pa‘alana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program: Malama Mobile, Traveling Preschool, and Family Education services.

(Wendys Wonderful Kids - Adoption Services) Wendy’s Wonderful Kids offers proactive, child-focused recruitment of adoptive families for children who have been placed in long-term foster care. Sponsored by the Dave Thomas Foundation, this unique program provides intensive social work services to find the best adoptive home for a child by exploring all facets of the child’s family, school, and friendship circles, as well as recruiting families from the broader community. Goals: • Increase the number of foster children placed with loving, adoptive or guardianship families in Hawaii • Develop supportive and warm relationships with children waiting to be adopted/legal guardianship • Provide information and resources to prospective and adoptive/guardianship parents • Increase community awareness of foster care adoption • Streamline the adoption process • Improve the quality of life for children in the permanent care of the Hawaii • State Department of Human Services by providing a “forever” family in Hawaii

(ATV, Alternatives to Violence) Professional counselors on call to help youth who are in psychiatric crisis or to supplement the efforts of their caregivers. Counselors can refer clients to specialized, short-term, out-of-home placement when needed. Youth Services groups are offered in both East and West Hawaii to both boys and girls ages 12 years old - 17 years old who are deemed perpetrators of harm. The focus of this group is to offer tools for reducing impulsive behaviors, improving self esteem and increasing the level of social competence as well as addressing the dynamics of adolescent victimization. The Youth Service groups are 20 weeks long and group is once per week; however, times and days of group may vary by location.
