Home Build for those in need of a new home. Home Preservation for those in need to repair their existing home including making it ADA compliant. Honolulu Habitat for Humanity helps families build, purchase or repair their own homes. Families work alongside volunteers. The programs are financed through Honolulu Habitat's low to no interest mortgage program. Builds and renovates homes using volunteer labor and donated materials, at no profit and no interest. Homeowners repay the cost over a fixed time period; payments are recycled to build more homes. It requires homeowners to participate in construction as well as help other prospective homeowners build theirs. Volunteers assist with all phases of construction, social work, public relations, finance, and office support. (Hale Ho'omalu, Neighborhood Places of Kauai) In partnership with a community Ohana Board and other community agencies, provides family support and family preservation services to the families in defined areas of Kauai. Incorporating a community family center model, Hale Ho'omalu Neighborhood Place provides a healing and nurturing environment in which intervention services are interwoven with prevention activities. Services include information and referral, emergency food pantry, emergency clothes closet, parent skills classes, outreach activities to engage hard to reach families, individual and family counseling, and community activities, volunteer training, SNAP (Food Stamp) application assistance, and cultural awareness activities and more. (Family Visitation Center - Kauai) Family Visitation Centers provide a safe, neutral setting for children to visit with their non-custodial parents or transition from one parent to the other. After a divorce or separation, family visitation services may be arranged by agreement of both parents and by court order.

Administers a 28 month live-in residential treatment facility for persons with emotional, social, drug or alcohol related problems. Offers vocational training. Accepts donations, including automobiles. Donated automobiles must be in running condition with papers. Founded in 1971, Habilitat is located in Kaneohe, Hawaii on the windward side of Oahu. Habilitat helps those with substance abuse dependency and behavioral problems change into productive members of our community.
