(Ohana Energy Gift Program) The Hawaiian Electric Company Ohana Energy Gift Program allows customers of Hawaiian Electric to make payments toward a designated recipient's electric account. The recipient will receive an acknowledgement letter once the gift amount has been applied to his or her account. Gift givers will receive a confirmation letter once the designated recipient's account information has been verified and the gift amount has been applied. Ohana Energy Gifts are not tax deductible donations. The gifts may be anonymous, or the gift giver may choose to also send a special acknowledgement card with a personalized message. (ELR) Early Learning Readiness (ELR) for Family, Friend and Neighbor Caregivers is a research-based community program that gives young children (not in facility-based childcare), high-quality physical, emotional and cognitive experiences. It also equips their teacher, ensuring they start kindergarten ready to learn. The program provides a stimulating, preschool-like experience through learning centers that foster young child development and improve school readiness, while also supporting and developing the skills and knowledge of caregivers. Early Learning Readiness - services are provided at the Aliamanu Military Reservations for the Pearl Harbor and Wheeler Schoefield locations.

The Battleship Missouri has served her nation with honor and distinction through World War II, the Korean War, and Operation Desert Storm, with the service and devotion of her crews spanning three generations. Today she stands proudly as an international icon of strength for freedom and the site and symbol of the formal ending of World War II. We offer school groups the opportunity to learn more about the USS Missouri’s role in three wars and as a living, historic memorial. We are proud to serve more than 17,000 students from around Hawaii in Battleship Missouri Memorial Education programs every year. The CDC National Prevention Information Network (NPIN) is the U.S. reference and referral service for information on HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and tuberculosis (TB). NPIN is a next-generation clearinghouse that collects and disseminates data and materials to support the work of prevention organizations and workers in international, national, state, and local settings. Our services are designed to facilitate program collaboration in sharing information, resources, published materials, research, and trends among the four diseases.

These items are received by the local offices by donations from others and through our TLC Catalog. Adult Day Health - Adult Day Health programs are located in Central Maui and provide therapeutic environments for our participants to grow and learn. We offer enriching community activities, promote self-direction and provide individualized programming. Our staff are teachers, advocates and mentors collaborating to foster our participants’ independence and supporting them to achieve their goals. We provide daily transportation and lunch. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday, from 8:00 am-2:00 pm. Come join and grow with us! Personal Assistant Services - This is a 1:1 service, where the participant is matched with a fully trained staff who assists him/her with navigating the community or working in the participant's home to achieve his/her individualized goals. These goals are developed by the participant and his/her circle of support in order to increase his/her level of independence and community access. Service hours are evaluated by the Department of Health and based on the participant’s needs and goals. Employment Services - Arc of Maui County supports the premise that all participants shall have the opportunity for competitive and integrated employment. Employment services are discussed with the participant and their circle of support to identify their interests and preferences. Employment is a significant way to improve self esteem and support participants to be contributing members of their communities.
