(Hawaii Relief Program) Catholic Charities Hawaii has been contracted to administer the Hawaii Relief Program. Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). -One-time automobile down payment -Up to 4 months of automobile payments Utility payments may include electricity, gas, or water expense, or a combination of these utility sources. Water expense may include sewer service fees. Payments are made directly to landlords, mortgage lenders, or utility providers. (TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. Military OneSource is a Department of Defense-funded program that’s both a 24/7/365 call center and a website providing comprehensive information, resources and assistance on every aspect of military life—all at no cost to the user. Military OneSource provides information and referral on a wide range of topics including deployment, reintegration, financial, relationship issues, grief, spouse employment and education, and parenting and life skills. All calls to the call center are answered live by a master’s-level consultant. A central service provided by Military OneSource is confidential non-medical counseling. Non-medical counseling is available for up to 12 sessions, per person, per issue and is intended to prevent the development or exacerbation of lifestyle conditions that may compromise military and family readiness. Sessions are available in-person, by telephone, secure online chat and video.

Food donations are accepted at Hale Kau Kau. Hale Kau Kau program serves dinner meals on-site to those who do not have the resources for basic food. Hale Kau Kau delivers dinner meals every day to homebound persons (seniors, people with disabilities, etc.)

The Caregiver Foundation provides support for the caregivers and individuals needing care through practical and emotional support services and educational programs. Provides comprehensive care coordination, financial management, guardianship, conservatorship, trusteeship, community education programs and caregiver support groups.

Provides after school program for Kindergarten through sixth grade students in public elementary schools who are without adult supervision after school. Program includes homework, recreation supervision, special classes and activities.

Provides a fun and educational program for children and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. Promotes and encourages youth of all ages to participate in group and outdoor activities.
