The mission of the YWCA of O'ahu aquatics department is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where learning to swim and recreation through aquatics is the focus. One of the main tenets of the program is to encourage participants to do their best with their abilities. With an emphasis on positive reinforcement, the program seeks to build confidence and self-esteem in each person. We have pools at both Laniakea and Kokokahi, and offer a comprehensive swim program at each location. All aquatic staff members are certified Water Safety Instructors (Wintertree Software Inc.). Swim classes are offered on various days and times for your convenience. All swim classes have a low student-to-teacher ratio.

Provides care coordination and contracts out to Department of Health awarded private providers, community-based, child-focused and family-centered comprehensive behavioral health care. Serves children, adolescents and their families who may suffer from a variety of emotional, behavioral or social adjustment problems. (Crime Stoppers) Provides law enforcement, criminal investigation and crime prevention. Investigates accidents and provides traffic control. Registers firearms. Accepts information on missing persons. HPD does not handle driver's licensing or motor vehicle registration, abandoned vehicles or safety inspections (these are provided by Department of Finance, Motor Vehicle & Licensing Division).

Prevents, detects, diagnoses, controls and eradicates livestock diseases in order to promote the health and economic well-being of the livestock industries in Hawaii. Surveillance for regulatory diseases is conducted routinely to identify diseases which constitute a threat to the State's livestock industries and public health. Founded by a group of people with OCD in 1986, the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) is an international not-for-profit organization made up of people with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related disorders, as well as their families, friends, professionals and others. The mission and goals of the IOCDF are to:

• Educate the public and professionals about OCD in order to raise awareness and improve the quality of treatment provided;
• Support research into the cause of, and effective treatments for, OCD and related disorders;
• Improve access to resources for those with OCD and their families;
• Advocate and lobby for the OCD community.

Sex Addicts Anonymous (SAA) offers referrals to 12-step recovery meetings for people who have a desire to recover from sexually compulsive or addictive behavior. Meetings are located all over the world with the majority being in North America. Meetings are held seven days a week at all times of the day. Meeting formats include face-to-face, telephone, and web-based options. SAA does NOT offer telephone counseling nor is it a “hotline.” Interested parties will be referred to a meeting in his/her area or to a telephone/web-based meeting for assistance.

(Adaptive Aids, Canines and Advocacy for the Blind) Guide Dogs of Hawaii provides guide dogs, mobility aids, organization and methods instructions, graduate follow-up and other services to Hawaii residents who are blind or visually impaired.

(ADLRO) The Administrative Driver’s License Revocation Office (ADLRO) is responsible for: Conducting reviews and hearings related to the administrative revocation of driving privileges of respondents arrested in violation of HRS §291E-61 or §291E-61.5 for operating a vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. Issuing review and hearing decisions, and determining the period of revocation to be imposed, and related matters. Issuing ignition interlock permits and employee driver’s permits to eligible respondents whose driver’s licenses have been revoked. (MDA Summer Camp) Each summer, kids and young adults with neuromuscular disease attend overnight camps around the United States at no cost to their families. Note: Currently there are no in-person camps in Hawaii. Please see the web site for virtual camp options. Campers may also apply to attend a camp in another location of the nation.

E Ala Hou is a specialized substance abuse treatment program for pregnant and parenting women. The program provides such services as: -Screening and assessments -Individual and group counseling -Outpatient and aftercare services -Motivational Enhancement -Collaborate with community resources -Transportation to group activities -Childcare for children while mothers are in treatment services The goal of the program is to reduce the severity and disabling effects of alcohol and other drugs on high risk pregnant and parenting women and their children. E Ala Hou provides tailored services to meet the specific and critical needs of pregnant and parenting women. Childcare provided as needed.

The Medical Reserve Corps in Hawaii is an all volunteer group with many different skill sets. The Hawaii MRC needs volunteers who have medical and non-medical backgrounds who want to serve their local communities during public health emergencies or large scale emergency response events.

The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance.
