(Day at the Beach) AccesSurf builds an inclusive community that empowers people with disabilities through accessible beach and water programs. Day at the Beach typically takes place at White Plains Beach on the first Saturday of each month. We offer a thriving and robust kupuna (senior) and youth program. We also host additional services for all ages in a safe, intergenerational setting at our multi-purpose family center. KEY programs, both our own and those of others with whom we partner, provide positive alternatives for youth and families from Kaneohe to Kahuku with a focus on prevention, alternative education options, civic engagement. As an excellent meeting site, KEY provides opportunities for community members to participate in and gain control over their lives and the future of their community through active participation in clubs, organizations, halau, forums and community service activities. All programs are located at KEY Project multi-purpose community center.

Our Cancer Rehabilitation Program (CRP) is a comprehensive program that provides outpatient rehabilitation to cancer patients and survivors. Whether newly diagnosed or finished with treatment, we can help decrease pain and enable individuals to safely and effectively regain independence. Our goal is to help patients love their life as they did before cancer. For those who want to increase their independence and fulfill rehab goals, the CRP may be the right path. Patients work with a team of cancer rehabilitation specialists, including physical therapists and exercise physiologists, to create a program tailored specifically towards improving quality of life.

Provides counseling, advocacy, representation on behalf of veterans, their families, dependents to secure rights or benefits. Receives, investigates, and resolves disputes and complaints. Assesses client information and circumstances to determine need and/or eligibility for services and benefits. Provides burial assistance benefits including burial, burial allowance, plot or internment allowance, headstone or grave marker, burial flags, presidential memorial certificate, dependency and indemnity compensation and other benefits. Provides escort services including accompanying and personally assisting a client to obtain service. Provides letter writing, letter reading, records repository, notary public, recordation of forms. Will file original documents, specifically DD-214s or equivalent, for clients.

Provides regulatory functions over the handling and disposal of solid and hazardous waste and over the operating of underground storage tanks. Sets protection standards aimed at ground water and drinking water preservation. Monitors and enforces compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Promotes recycling, composting and other waste diversion activities through education and technical assistance. Provides educational assistance to household hazardous waste collection programs.

The Arc of Maui County has five Residential Group Homes for people with developmental disabilities. Each home has four to five residents with staff support 24 hours a day. Services include assistance with activities of daily living, recreational activities, and transportation. Socialization and community integration are part of everyday life at the homes. Nursing services and medication assistance are available. All of our homes are licensed by the State of Hawaii Department of Health. Our homes are licensed as either Domiciliary or Intermediate Care and most are fully wheelchair accessible. The homes are located in Kahului, Kihei, Maunaloa, and Napili.
