Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence

Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (HSCADV) is a coalition of organizations that serve survivors of domestic violence and their families. We provide education and training on domestic violence to service providers, community partners, and businesses, and develop resource for advocates and the community. We engage in public policy to improve survivor safety. We do not provide domestic violence services directly, but make referrals to appropriate agencies.

Making Ends Meet

(MEM) Making Ends Meet provides emergency financial assistance for individuals who experienced an unexpected life event that resulted in a financial setback. Assistance for essential needs such as rent, utilities, transportation, etc. up to about $500. No general financial assistance. No long-term financial support available. Assistance is a one time, not ongoing assistance. All services are conducted electronically or via USPS

Silver Streaks Sunrise Walk for Seniors is organized by the Hawaii Parks and Recreation Society as an annual 1+ mile walk in the morning. 33rd Annual Silver Streaks Sunrise Walk was Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Ala Moana Regional Park, 1201 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96814, USA at the Magic Island end of the parking lot. The course length was 1+ mile.

Provides financial aid to Navy and Marine Corps Active Duty families and retirees who are victims of natural disasters and other unforeseeable emergency needs. Provides student loans. Operates a thrift shop, but must have access to the base. Provides individual counseling. Provides assistance with obtaining services from civilian agencies.

Adult Day and Elder Care Program

Operates an adult day program for individuals with intellectual disabilities, education and vocational training programs for low-to-moderate income people including those with disabilities/special needs, and other support services. Also operates programs for seniors and the disabled offering therapeutic and recreational activities. (Note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wellness Center activities are temporarily closed.)

Seamless Summer Program

(SSO) Department of Education Seamless Summer Option (SSO) Program provides meals free of charge at participating public schools for children 1 year old - 18 years old June 9, 2026 - July 17, 2026. Children do not need to be enrolled in public school to participate. Schools will serve breakfast 7:15 am - 8:45 am and lunches from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm. There will be no meal service on the June 11, 2026 (Kamehameha Day) and July 3, 2026 (Independence Day observed) state holidays. All meals must be eaten on campus; no grab-and-go options are available. Children do not have to be enrolled at a participating school to be served, and meals will consist of solid foods. Air Fare interisland and mainland - for patients not covered by other insurance coverage. Reduced rate lodging - at hotels in Hawaii for patients who must travel for treatment. Hope lodge - free overnight housing for patients traveling to the mainland for treatment.

Stevenson Recreation Center

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. While we encourage the participation of fathers or male caregivers (grandpa, uncle etc..) all men are invited to participate in the Kane Connections Program. Kane Connections offers the following services: 1:1 support via in person visits at our office, at your home, or in the community. Hui Kane our Monday night mens group held at Hale Makana. Kamalama, a 12 week parenting class for men and their partner/co-parent based on Hawaiian Values and rooted in the understanding that parents are their children's first teachers.
