(After School No'eau Program) Ulu A‘e Learning Center uses a high touch, personalized approach in growing the hearts and minds of children during the out of school time though storytelling, Native Hawaiian practices and stewardship experiences. The after school time begins with homework help and moves to lessons in Native Hawaiian practices. Our facility is equipped with indoor and outdoor flexible learning spaces. Three computers are available for student use. Those with personal laptops or iPads will have access to our WIFI for the purpose of completing homework or school projects.

Provides transportation assistance for patients with cancer. Road to Recovery program - volunteers drive patients to doctor appointments and medical treatments. Bus Passes and Handi-Van Coupons - availability is limited to those in active treatment. Taxicab - limited trips for those that are unable to access volunteers, bus or handi-van. Air Fare interisland and mainland - for patients not covered by other insurance coverage. Reduced rate lodging - at hotels in Hawaii for patients who must travel for treatment. Hope lodge - free overnight housing for patients traveling to the mainland for treatment.

(CARE Program) Provides comprehensive, coordinated and compassionate forensic health services to children who are victims and suspected victims of abuse and neglect.

Kauai Crime Stoppers allows members of the public to remain anonymous while providing the police with vital information to get criminals off the streets.

Operates outpatient clinics for medical and mental health problems, including primary care clinics on Kauai, Maui and Hawaii. Provides inpatient psychiatry care at Tripler and referral to Tripler, community and state hospitals, or mainland VA hospitals if inpatient care is needed for other services. Administers a specialized program for veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Pacific Health Ministry develops hospital ministry and Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) programs in Hawaii. Its mission is to provide the highest quality interfaith spiritual care to the people of Hawaii, pastoral training to students around the world, and education for the community. Pacific Health Ministry provides spiritual and emotional support programs for the patients, families, and staff for Hawaii hospitals, hospice programs, psychiatric hospitals, retirement centers, and long term care facilities. These services provide spiritual care to persons in trauma or crisis, as well as those dying or grieving the loss of a family member. Pacific Health Ministry also provides education for clergy, health care professionals, and others who assist persons who are dying, grieving, and in crisis. It is a program that leads to certification for ministers and religious professionals. Pacific Health Ministry is the only accredited ministry training institution in Hawaii.

Assists with past due metered utilities (water, electricity, gas) for older adults pending fund availability. Utilities payable to vendor only with W9 form and supporting documents to verify residence and eligibility. The utility assistance is for renters and homeowners.

Offers galleries showcasing the cultural history of Hawaii (pre-contact to post-missionary eras) and the natural history of the islands. Displays a world class mineral collection and shell collection. Conducts guided tours of Mission House, built in 1839 by Rev. and Mrs. David B. Lyman.

Offers friendly visiting, telephone reassurance and referrals to other community agencies. (OHA March 2026 Kona Low General Disaster Assistance, I Ola Relief Fund Administered by Hawaiian Council, Kakoo Mai) --Applications open Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 9:00 am-- The Hawaiian Council has been contracted to administer the Office of Hawaiian Affairs program which provides general financial assistance to help Native Hawaiian homeowners and renters recover from the Kona Low Weather Events, the storms and floods occurring in March 2026. Native Hawaiian homeowners (owner occupied) may receive up to $15,000. Native Hawaiian renters may receive up to $7,500. Assistance is limited to 1 award per address. Note: Some homeowner and renter households may both qualify. What counts as damage? Major Damage means the home is Not safe to live in or Requires major repairs. Destroyed means the home is a total loss or cannot be repaired. Organized in 1979, the Hawaii Pacific Gerontological Society (HPGS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of Hawaii’s older adults. We promote the understanding of the aging process, supportive services, and legislation that help people age with dignity and grace. It is the largest voluntary, multidisciplinary group in the State committed to dialogue and discussion, networking and information sharing on issues and policies affecting older adults in this geographical area. Currently, more than 400 older adults, caregivers, gerontology educators, medical and social service practitioners, health care providers, agency personnel and organizations from all sectors of the community make up the membership. Members can attend the meetings held three times a year.

Provides a national toll-free phone line to answer commonly asked questions on postal service, such as service hours, zip code and address information, and mailing rates. A caller attempting to reach a postal worker in Hawaii, or who asks a question that cannot be answered by Mainland operators, will be given a local number to call. Also provides U.S. Passports and voter ballot forms also available at several Post Office locations.

Provides resource material such as pamphlets, articles, and reports on psychology, child/adolescent mental disorder, depression, schizophrenia, mental health, psycho-pharmacology, etc. Pamphlets and articles contain research done by National Institute of Mental Health.
