Hawaii District Health Offices (DHO) serves the community with proficiencies in emergency preparedness, family health services, public health nursing, services for the developmentally delayed, environmental health services which includes vector control, clean air, clean water, and sanitation programs, vital statistics (births, marriages, deaths), and mental health services. (Steadfast Pacific) Acquires, develops, owns, and manages permanent supported housing suitable for occupancy by persons in Hawaii with chronic mental illness, also known as SMI (Seriously Mentally Ill). Operates 29 group homes (including duplex units) and 6 condominium units. All clients are being provided with mental health supportive services at the Community Mental Health Centers.

Provides comprehensive recreation programs through 23 senior centers. Learning centers provide special classes such as hula, ukulele, dancing and karaoke. The HBF, founded in 1991, is a national nonprofit organization dedicated solely to those affected by hepatitis B. The foundation accomplishes its work with a dedicated staff of researchers, educators, and outreach experts working with physicians, scientists, academic institutions, corporations, governmental agencies, and others to raise awareness and search for a cure to hepatitis B.

Issues permits to sell and use pesticides. Monitors pesticide use through field inspections of applicators and market surveillance. Investigates pesticide misuse and complaints.

Operates 24-hour child abuse and neglect hotline. Receives all reports of child abuse or neglect. Provides case consultation and assessment. Provides crisis intervention on behalf of children in need of immediate protection.

The Early Identification Program (EID) supports families in learning about child development, family well-being, and community resources. EID is a resource and referral service that can link families to helpful community resources.

Na Kia i O Maui provides household goods, furniture, daily essentials, and nonperishable food to fire survivors of Lahaina and Upcountry Maui and March 2026 Kona Low flood survivors. Na Kia i O Maui accept donations of daily essentials, personal grooming supplies, household goods, and furniture.

(TVAP) Sex Trafficking Case Management services are provided to juvenile victims and their families or caregivers through the Trafficking Victim Assistance Program (TVAP). In partnership with the Susannah Wesley Community Center and Hale Kipa, Parents And Children Together provides victim centered trauma-informed comprehensive case management to survivors of sex trafficking. Services include crisis response, intake screening, and case management designed to support the victim in leaving the trafficking situation. (Easter Seals Hawaii Kauai Home and Community Based Services) At Easterseals Hawaii, we offer a comprehensive set of services for adults with disabilities and their families. We work to empower our clients to become more independent and participate fully in the communities where they live, work, and play. Services are delivered with dignity, passion, and the ultimate goal of self-determination. Program focus areas are enhancing independence, person-centered planning, social skills and enrichments, community integration and access, employment skills, personal care, and daily living skills. Adult Home and Community-based Services include group and individual services; employment services, Adult Day Health (ADH), Community Learning Service (CLS), Community Learning Service-Individual (CLS-I) for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as autism and down syndrome.

Outreach and case management for the homeless. Provides flexible intake. Operates four 4WD vehicles which locate and identify homeless and at-risk population. Provides direct emergency client assistance such as first aid and transportation for endangered clients in isolated areas and to medical appointments as part of ongoing case coordination. Provides a national toll-free phone line to answer commonly asked questions on postal service, such as service hours, zip code and address information, and mailing rates. A caller attempting to reach a postal worker in Hawaii, or who asks a question that cannot be answered by Mainland operators, will be given a local number to call. Also provides U.S. Passports and voter ballot forms also available at several Post Office locations.
