(Aloha Diaper Pantry) The Aloha Diaper Bank supports newborns up to 3 years old who are facing poverty or family crises due to job loss or personal circumstances. Working in collaboration with various local agencies that serve low-income, homeless, and families in crisis, we provide essential diapers and wipes. Families are encouraged to register with one of the partner agencies to receive ongoing support and access other valuable services during challenging times. Additionally, the Aloha Diaper Bank offers a one-time emergency assistance package, including 75 diapers and 2 packs of baby wipes, to address immediate needs.

(LEI) LEI is a HTA-sponsored workforce development project created by ClimbHI to inspire Hawai’i’s youth to select careers in the Hawai’i visitor industry by providing them with the necessary means to achieve success. From the student’s perspective, LEI represents an opportunity for Leadership, Exploration, and Inspiration, and from the hospitality industry’s perspective, LEI provides an opportunity to Lead, Expose, and Inspire Hawai’i’s youth. The program began in 2011 with 300 Hawai’i high school students spending a day learning about the hospitality industry and the value of graduating from high school and going on to pursue a post-secondary education. During the course of the day’s program, the students meet, learn, and experience job opportunities that the hospitality industry can provide. Students also receive advice on filling out job/college applications, resumes, personal finance, and support resources. Designed for persons at risk for long term care placement. Accepts volunteers 16 years old or older, to assist in transporting residents, general office duties, music leaders, craft assistants, active games, religious services, pet therapy, ethnic groups, sewing craft projects, etc.

(PACT) The Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA Hawaii) offers a Pre-Apprenticeship Construction Training (PACT) program, funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) in partnership with Work Hawaii. This six-week program is free for qualifying individuals and is intended to prepare participants for entry-level employment in the construction field. The curriculum includes: OSHA 30 Certification; CPR/First Aid/AED and Bloodborne Pathogens; Introduction to carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical; Green building fundamentals; Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Certification; Disaster site safety (15-hour OSHA); Job readiness support, including resume preparation and interview coaching; A guided tour of an active construction site. Participants also earn nationally recognized credentials, including the Home Builders Institute (HBI) Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate, and leave the program prepared for roles such as laborer, carpenter, plumber, or electrician assistant with pathways toward advancement in the industry.

Chamber Music Hawaii's concert series spans from September through May of each year, showcasing our resident chamber ensembles in premiere concert venues on Oahu. After initial screening, potential volunteers attend 36 hours of training held over the course of one month. Sessions focus on educating the group about death and dying, grief and bereavement. Through teaching active listening and doing extensive role-playing, volunteers learn about the various stages of the dying process.

Pacific Birth Collective (PBC) is offering free weekly food boxes designed specifically for the perinatal period, with focus on providing nutrition and health support for mothers and their growing babies. This program is in conjunction with the Maui Food Bank and is free and accessible to everyone. The items in our food boxes are curated for children and women during their childbearing years. Please fill out this form to receive food distributions. The form will be open every week Saturday-Wednesday or until we have 50 recipients, then the form will close. Boxes need to be picked on Friday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm in the Aloha Aina Center Suite 160 in Haiku. Delivery of boxes may be available upon request.
