(Kahoolawe Island Reserve Commission) The Kaho'olawe Island Reserve Commission (KIRC) was established by the Hawai'i State Legislature in 1993 to manage the Kaho'olawe Island Reserve while held in trust for a future Native Hawaiian sovereign entity. The KIRC has pledged to provide for the meaningful and safe use of Kaho'olawe for the purpose of the traditional and cultural practices of the native Hawaiian people and to undertake the restoration of the island and its waters. (Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk.
Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks.
Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program.

Kumu Kahua Theatre

Kumu Kahua means "Original stage" or "Platform". Kumu Kahua is a Playwright's Theatre in the State of Hawaii, providing the local community with 35 years of plays written by local playwrights for the community to attend. The 100 seater black box theatre performs five plays during its Season of Shows.
Produces theatre oriented towards Hawaii's people, in their multi-ethnic diversity. Acts as a platform for local writers as well as hands-on operation for local actors, directors and theatre technicians. Offers classes in playwriting and acting. Accepts volunteers to assist with fundraising, box office, ushing, threatre technicians and phone duties.

Purple Van Food Program
The Private Sector Hawaii serves the North Shore of Oahu only: Mokuleia, Waialua, Haleiwa, Sunset Beach, Kahuku. Food boxes are delivered after an individual calls and requests a box. A recipient must call every time they need a food box. Our goal is to deliver the box within a week of a call, though we have been behind due to increased requests. Recipients can expect to receive one food box a month. This is an all volunteer charity and we deliver food boxes as volunteers are available. If someone has an emergency need for food, we will get a box to them immediately. No on site distribution.

As an excellent meeting site, KEY provides opportunities for community members to participate in and gain control over their lives and the future of their community through active participation in clubs, organizations, halau, forums and community service activities.
