(Al-Anon Molokai, Alanon Family Group Maui, Alateen Maui) Al-Anon is a worldwide fellowship of those who feel their lives have been deeply affected by someone else’s drinking. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. (PATCH POD Program) The Preschool Open Doors (POD) program provides families with low and moderate incomes subsidies to send their children to preschool for up to two years prior to entering kindergarten.

Provides support to anyone grieving the death of a friend or family member. Holds one-on-one sessions with staff as well as volunteer assistance offered by individuals who have experienced the grief process. Offers a six week bereavement support group which is held three times annually, providing an opportunity for healing as experiences are shared and information offered. Maintains a lending library of books and videos.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. Nourishing supplemental foods: Checks to buy healthy foods such as: Milk, Peanut butter, Fruits and vegetables, Canned tuna or salmon, Juice, Whole grain breads, tortillas, Eggs or brown rice, Cheese, Baby foods, Cereal Infant formula, Dry beans or peas, Tofu, and soy milk Health and social service referrals: Help in finding health care and other community services.

Provides services for children and young adults from birth to 21 years of age. Services include: well child visits, acute managment of episodic illnesses and comprehensive management of special problems and chronic illnesses.

(Therapeutic Crisis Homes) The Therapeutic Crisis Homes (TCH) program provides youth the opportunity to stabilize with trained TCH parents who provide them with support and guidance they need to return to their families safely. Services are offered to each youth based on his/her individual needs. Youth are provided with individual counseling and family counseling with the ultimate goal of reunification with their families within 3 to 7 days. Crisis Home Parents provide a safe environment for youth ages 5 years old - 17 years old to stabilize their emotional and physical situation in time of crisis. Services included support, guidance and individual as well as family counseling to stabilize the situation so that youth can reunite with their families within 3-7 days. Trained staff professionals also help to develop an after-care plan for families and referrals to public and private follow-up services.

Provides technical assistance to improve the quality of land and water resources on private and other non-federal lands. Cost-share and other incentive payments are available for farmers and ranchers. Recommends methods to conserve natural resources like soil and water. Provides financial assistance for emergency watershed protection measures. Works with local Soil and Water Conservation Districts on conservation plans and projects.

(Church on the Beach Mobile - Koa'e Makana Apartments) Kauai Bible Church helps Hawaii Foodbank Kauai with this branch for food and hygiene product distribution. Church on the Beach Mobile distributes clothes, toiletries, and personal/grooming supplies to the houseless or those in need.

Offers recreational, educational and health classes and seminars. Teaches line dancing, exercise, karaoke, ukulele, and painting. Provides assistance in accessing services, counseling, escort and transportation services.

Provides support group for survivors of brain injuries and family caregivers. Provides literature, quarterly newsletter, monthly bulletin and videos.
