Project Vision is providing shelter for those affected by the Maui wildfires in August 2023 that do not have shelter. The site will be able to house around 150 people who will be provided a military grade tent for shelter. There is access to showers, medical care and restrooms as well as other services. The shelter will also provide transportation to and from the site. Case managers from the state will also be on hand to work with those shelter residents to develop a recovery plan. Location is off Hana Highway in Pu'unene.

(CSFP, Senior Food Box) The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is a federally funded USDA program that helps eligible older adults access nutritious foods by providing a monthly Senior Food Box filled with a variety of shelf-stable USDA items designed to supplement their diets.

(Hawaii Baptist Academy) Hawaii Baptist Academy's (HBA) elementary program serves more than 400 students from junior kindergarten through sixth grade in Nuuanu. The expanded curriculum meets the individual needs of each student through hands-on learning and enrichment activities which include: Bible, reading, writing, math, social studies, science, PE, STEM, art, music, and more. Developing Christian values is integrated through classroom to all of campus life.

The Maui Strong program delivers bagged groceries and essential supplies to kupuna who were displaced or otherwise impacted by the Maui wildfires. Deliveries are made directly to their homes by volunteer drivers. For safety and privacy, drivers do not enter the kupuna’s homes. In addition to home deliveries, the program provides care navigation services to help connect kupuna with resources and support. We also offer transportation services for those who need transportation to medical appointments or essential errands.

Provides short-term acute psychiatric hospital care for adolescents and adults.

Provides case management for youth in long term foster care, guardianship, transition, post high school education and post adoption. Provides financial assistance for educational and self esteem building activities for children in foster care. Training and toll free Warm Line support and resources for foster, guardianship, kinship and adoptive parents. Hosts a Holiday Party for former foster children and foster families.

(Ohana Finding) Family Finding is a process designed to identify, locate and engage family members of children and youth who are in foster care. Family Finding utilizes database case mining and internet searches to identify and locate family and other possible relatives. Individuals who are identified as possible relatives are verified via phone contact and/or letters, and names of confirmed family members are compiled onto maternal and paternal family lists. These lists are then submitted to Child Welfare Services (CWS), the GAL, and the EPIC Ohana Conference coordinator or the Ohana Connections specialist to assist them in engaging relatives to help care for, provide support for, or reconnect to the child in care. Provides care coordination and contracts out to Department of Health awarded private providers, community-based, child-focused and family-centered comprehensive behavioral health care. Serves children, adolescents and their families who may suffer from a variety of emotional, behavioral or social adjustment problems. Provides evaluation, treatment planning, direct treatment and case management through contract providers. Provides consultation to Department of Education personnel and private agencies.

(CSFP) The CSFP works to improve the health of low income elderly persons by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA foods. Participants must complete an application, be at least 60 years of age, reside on Oahu and have an income at or below 150% of Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. Once qualified, senior will receive a monthly food box consisting of UHT milk, juice, cereal, rice or pasta, peanut butter or beans, cheese, canned meat/poultry or fish and canned fruits and vegetables. Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii (VLSH) is the only organization in the state whose sole mission is to serve people in Hawaii with low to moderate income community through volunteer attorneys. Volunteer Legal’s pool of pro bono attorneys provide legal services in a wide range of civil matters, including divorces, paternities, custodies, child support, guardianships, adoptions, powers of attorney, wills, healthcare directives, landlord-tenant cases, collections, and Chapter 7 bankruptcies. Neighborhood Advice and Counsel clinics are being held in-person and via telephone. Clients are responsible for all legal deadlines associated with their case. We experience a high volume of calls. (Hui Ho'omalu) Hui Ho'omalu's General Licensing Branch trains and conducts assessments Statewide for prospective general licensed resource families. General Licensed refers to those families that are willing to foster any unrelated child. Resource homes for older children, teens, and children with special needs are in critical need.
