Representative Payee Services: Provides financial management services to chronically mentally ill individuals which includes but not limited to: aiding/facilitating the payment of essential bills and providing weekly/bi-weekly/monthly allowances to participants. Also includes regular budget meetings, budgeting and financial management classes to individuals or households that meet eligibility requirements.

(National Weather Service Honolulu Forecast Office) The Central Pacific Hurricane Center is located in Honolulu on the campus of the University of Hawaii at Manoa and issues the best watches, warnings, forecasts, and analyses of hazardous tropical weather.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. Facilities include: Three fields with two softball backstops, recreation building, four basketball courts, two volleyball courts, community garden, and play apparatus. Currently uses van, Care-A-Van outreach specialist to travel to beaches/parks and other areas on Kauai where homeless people live or congregate. (Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. Nourishing supplemental foods: Checks to buy healthy foods such as: Milk, Peanut butter, Fruits and vegetables, Canned tuna or salmon, Juice, Whole grain breads, tortillas, Eggs or brown rice, Cheese, Baby foods, Cereal Infant formula, Dry beans or peas, Tofu, and soy milk Health and social service referrals: Help in finding health care and other community services.

(Steadfast Pacific) Acquires, develops, owns, and manages permanent supported housing suitable for occupancy by persons in Hawaii with chronic mental illness, also known as SMI (Seriously Mentally Ill). Operates 29 group homes (including duplex units) and 6 condominium units. All clients are being provided with mental health supportive services at the Community Mental Health Centers.

Maintains information resources, i.e. books, magazines, musical recordings, video and audio tapes, State and County government documents and Hawaiiana materials. Provides fax service to send messages to State legislators. Provides access to wi-fi and telephone reference service.

Sets minimum sentence for prisoners. Grants paroles and supervises persons paroled from prisons. Revokes paroles. Considers applications for pardons upon referral by the Governor. Makes referrals to other service delivery providers, i.e. treatment for people on parole.

Provides information and referral services to Hawaiians for health and human service resources and links clients with appropriate agency services.

Lahaina Arts Guild provides art and music classes for students in 1st - 5th grade.

Common Grace facilitates partnerships between public elementary schools and nearby neighborhood churches in order to provide mentors for at-risk children. Volunteers goes through our basic training seminar that we have through out the school year. We look for mentors that have willing and loving hearts ready to be a friend to the kids at the local elementary school.

The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. A paper copy of the application can be downloaded, printed, signed and submitted via US postal mail or dropped off in the drop box. (North Shore Food Bank) North Shore Food Bank provides a walk in food distribution at Waialua Community Association (Haleiwa Gym). Additional community services include help with community health servies, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) application help, and other information for person who may be houseless. QUEST Integration is a program in the Department of Human Services (DHS) for Medicaid beneficiaries to receive their health care services. QUEST Integration is offered through five health plans: AlohaCare, HMSA, Kaiser Permanente, 'Ohana Health Plan, and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan.

Provides opportunities and manages facilities for non-organized, outdoor, aquatic recreational activities such as sportfishing, underwater photography and studying aquatic life. Operates and stocks freshwater public fishing areas on Hawaii, Kauai and Oahu. Shoreline Fishery Management monitors accidental introduction of foreign aquatic species. Develops and manages statewide system of artificial reefs to enhance sportfishing species.

Assists homeowners or renters who are delinquent in mortgage or rental payments. Attempts to work out loan repayment plan and provides advice on possible options available. Offers homebuyer education to current and prospective homeowners on obtaining, keeping and maintaining their homes. Offers services for Maui county.
