The Taxpayers Voice for a safe and beautiful community. The West Maui Taxpayers Association (WMTA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1974 to provide an organized voice of support for public and private improvements which have potential benefit for the West Maui community from Lahaina to Kapalua. WMTA was founded to assure that West Maui would receive its fair share of tax-funded improvements by state and county governments. WMTA has been at work on these improvements for over 40 years. Represents taxpayers' interests to the government. Welcomes individual and business members and inquiries from the general public. Schedules public education forums dealing with issues and proposed laws to advance responsible action.

KHP is a non-profit substance misuse treatment and recovery support Center with a focus on Native Hawaiian cultural values. Provides Outpatient treatment and support services for Molokai residents in early recovery from alcohol and other drug addictions. Also provides 12-step meetings and faith-based recovery support meetings. Provides urine analysis (UA) Testing for youth up to age 18 and adults. Able to provide alcohol and other drugs (AOD) assessments for driving under the influence (DUI) or treatment appropriateness for a fee. KHP has programs for Pregnant and/or parenting Women with children who want to engage in outpatient treatment. Also, persons with a co-occurring mental health diagnosis and a substance use disorder can join dual diagnosis treatment groups. KHP has an emergency food pantry open on Tue and Thurs after 12:30pm. Other culturally respectful services offered: 1. Addiction treatment (Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, Motivational Pre-treatment, Continuing Care) 2. Substance Abuse Assessments 3. Referrals for related services (Mental Health, Shelter, Detox, Drug Court, Rx support, etc) 4. Drug use testing (UA, Lab, Oral) 5. Impaired Drivers Classes for those with court compliance needs (Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program SARP) 6. Transportation to access recovery 7. Peer-driven motivational enhancement pre-treatment outreach and mentorship with Recovery Partners 8. Community Service opportunities (civic pride and court related) 9. Victory Farm -Sustainable agricultural project 10. Emergency food pantry services with the Maui Food Bank 11. Temporary sober living for single adults after 30 days of recovery who may need a safe start 12. Assistance to send a participant to residential treatment off island (if funds permit) Ka Hale Pomaika’i offers their office as a Recovery Community Center serving as a forum for support such as 12-step meetings, Ohana gatherings and learning circles with Kupuna. All services that KHP offers are conducted with a focus on Native Hawaiian traditions and values.

(DUA) --The deadline for filing DUA is June 15, 2026, which is 60 days from the disaster declaration date. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered untimely, and DUA benefits may be denied unless the individual provides good cause for late filing.-- Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) is available for eligible unemployed employees, self-employed individuals, farmers, and fishermen engaged in business at the time of the disaster. Eligibility for DUA benefits is determined on a week-to-week basis for each week a claim is filed. Eligible individuals may receive DUA benefits beginning the week of March 15, 2026, through the week ending October 10, 2026. Provides technical knowledge and information to commercial fisheries and aquaculture farms to increase production methods, processing and resource management. Youth identified as requiring intensive mental health services may be enrolled with the Department of Health (DOH) Family Guidance Center (FGC) located in the school district of their home school. They are assigned an FGC Mental Health Care Coordinator (MHCC) at that time. The youth may, and often will, continue to receive School-Based Behavioral Health (SBBH) services and supports from the Department of Education (DOE) in conjunction with the intensive mental health services.

(SSVF) HOPE Services Hawaii Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) promotes housing stability among veterans’ families with very low income who reside in or are transitioning to permanent housing. The SSVF Program may be able to provide the following services as they relate to housing stability: Outreach services, case management services, assistance obtaining VA benefits, assistance obtaining other public benefits and needed services within the community, limited financial assistance that is necessary to stabilize housing, assistance with housing searches, financial planning as it relates to stabilizing housing, health care services, daily living services, transportation services, fiduciary and payee services, and legal services.
