(Alcohol and Drug-Impaired Driving Prevention) The Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving includes: Supporting law enforcement’s efforts to apprehend impaired drivers and to deter others from driving while impaired, Working for effective ignition interlock (in-car breathalyzer) laws in states to keep known risky drivers off our roads, Working with a national team toward technology on all new cars to prevent drivers with illegal blood alcohol from operating the vehicle. We also: Educate teens and parents about alcohol and the problems associated with underage drinking, Conduct public awareness programs like Tie One On for Safety which asks drivers to tie a MADD red ribbon onto their vehicles to pledge to be a safe and non-drinking driver over the holidays, Gather once a year to raise funds at our Walk Like MADD event that remembers, inspires and commits with our community of victims, survivors, partners and supporters.

(Hawaii VA Foundation) Community volunteers shops for and deliver groceries, medication and necessary supplies to the kupuna's home every 2 weeks. The kupuna pays for the groceries that the volunteer delivers. The volunteer does not enter the kupuna's home. Inquire about other islands in the service area.

Provides outpatient counseling to children, teens, and their families, includes individual, group, and family to emotionally and/or behaviorally troubled youth and their families. Outpatient services also include educational planning, treatment planning, school consultation, and case management.

(Med-QUEST Kokua Outreach) Project Vision Hawaii's Certified application counselors can help with Med-QUEST applications and questions: application submission, program questions, renewal assistance, application follow-up, health plan enrollment, or updating your case. Certified application counselors can help people shop for and enroll in affordable medical insurance through the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace (https://www.healthcare.gov) if necessary.

The purpose of the COVID-19 Emergency Response Volunteer at Hawaii State Hospital is to help the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital staff in its efforts to reduce spread of COVID-19 at the Hospital and in the community we serve. The volunteer will also help with efforts to inform staff, patients, family members of patients, and others in the Hospital's service community on how they can help reduce risk of spreading or contracting COVID-19. Volunteers will help by using, modeling, informing and educating staff and others at the Hospital in safe physical distancing ("social distancing" six feet or more), using electronic communications and internet-based group communications apps to hold meetings, practicing hand hygiene, and special infection control measures to prevent transmission of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. Volunteer roles may include, as needed:

• Assist Hospital Administration sort, convey and communicate incoming CDC, DOH and other COVID-19 information
• Assist with written communication

Keiki ages 11 years old - 17 years old will learn ocean safety from City lifeguards at no cost. Children will learn rescue boards, rescue tubes, and near-shore search and rescue techniques from some of the City and County of Honolulu lifeguards. Keiki will also get an introduction to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic first aid. Classes are free and will be held during the fall break from school: October 9-13, 2023. Each session will run from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Dates and locations are: -Monday, October 9, 2023 - Kualoa Beach Park -Tuesday, October 10, 2023 - “Sherwoods,” which is Hunananiho, or Waimanalo Bay Beach Park -Wednesday, October 11, 2023 - Pokai Bay Beach Park -Thursday, October 12, 2023 - Kaimana Beach -Friday, October 13, 2023 - Kailua Beach Park Enrollment is first come, first served basis. Inspects and certifies grade, quality and condition of agriculture products such as fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, foliage, shell eggs, animal feed, coffee, nuts and processed food products. Develops grade standards. Educates public to use grade standards. Administers federal standards and compliance.

Provides facilities, equipment and training to enable educational, government and non-profit agencies and Oahu cable subscribers to produce non-commercial programming for the cable access channels. Manages a Central Production Center in Mapunapuna and has established other satellite production centers. Public service announcements and programs produced outside of Olelo's facilities may also be submitted for cablecasting, provided they are sponsored by a local resident or organization. Maintains a video bulletin board, Island Info, announcing services, events and information for non-profit organizations.

CARF accredited programs provide outpatient medication assisted and drug free treatment: methadone maintenance, suboxone (buprenorphine) and detox program, outreach, and interim services for persons addicted to opiates, pain killers, and illicit opiates in on Oahu and Hilo on Hawaii Island. In Puna on Hawaii Island, Native Hawaiian culturally based intensive outpatient and outpatient program provided. Cornerstone, located in Honolulu, provides outpatient, intensive outpatient and continuing care services. Trauma-Informed-Care environment.

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Kukui Center was designed and renovated to meet the need to provide an easily identified and specialized place where abused, vulnerable and disadvantaged children and their families can receive the help they need. Professional and volunteer help is available elsewhere throughout our community but in many different locations. Even when needed, the follow through on referrals can be poor as parents and young adults are often overwhelmed by the demands of their daily lives. Housing a variety of services together is more user friendly for children, youth and families and will help insure they can access the strong community support that is available.

Private preschool for boys and girls aged 3-4 years old. Children entering the 3 year old program, K3, must be 3 years old by August 31st for the year that children will be entering into the program.

Reporting missing persons.

Coordinates self-help housing projects consisting of 6 - 12 families in a building group. An experienced builder-foreman-teacher shows the group how to build. Saves about 25%-30% of the house cost. When 6 - 12 families build as a group, the houses are finished at the same time. Each family puts in the same number of hours of labor and builds the same house depending on family size. Uses "mass-construction" techniques. Takes 6 - 12 months to build the houses.

Provides special language assistance and support services for students whose first language or dominant home language is not English. Bilingual school/home assistants link parents with school.

St. Francis Health Services for Senior Citizens, in partnership with the City and County of Honolulu’s Elderly Affairs Division, provides bathing and personal grooming services for Oahu’s frail elders. We come to your home to provide baths or personal care services, with priority given to those with low incomes living in rural areas. St. Francis Healthcare System offers the following services for older adults: Baths, showers and shampoos in bed, tub or shower Routine nail, skin and hair care Oral care Shaving Changing bed linens

(Food Pantry) Saint Catherine Parish provides food boxes to those that are in need.

Provides legal representation for County Council members, county agencies and county employees as authorized by law.
