The Army Community Services's Mobilization, Deployment and Stability Support Operations program helps support community readiness during deployments and emergencies. Helps make sure installation programs align with unit deployment cycles, provide pre- and post-deployment support, and help unit commanders with their family readiness plans and deployment support services for service members and their families. Responsible for operating an Emergency Family Assistance Center in the case of an all-hazards event, and supporting service members and families during Non-Combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO) and Repatriation. Typically, the presentations are done for health classes, but we have done several all school assemblies or covered entire grades. Early Childhood Services are provided to children three to six years old with delays in which age appropriate milestones are not yet met. These children typically fall outside the scope of the Department of Education & Special Education Services. The needs of each child are met through professional therapeutic services designed for the child to help them thrive in their home, preschool and community. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. Friends of the Library of Hawai'i (FLH) exists to promote and support the fifty public libraries that make up the Hawai'i State Public Library System. FLH promotes literacy, education, and library services. The organization supports librarians in continuing education opportunities and offers scholarships for graduate students at the University of Hawaii interested in a library career. Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) provides supportive services to meet the immediate and urgent needs of visitors to Hawaii Island who are victimized by crime, have medical emergencies, or suffer other adversities during their stay.
