Re-use Hawaii provides a Workforce Development Program that expands equitable access to jobs through second chance and transitional employment. We intentionally employ individuals who have been excluded from the workforce due to previous justice involvement, recovery from substance abuse, housing instability, or other barriers to employment.

City and County of Honolulu Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) provides a Rebuild Donation Match Registry. Step 1: Submit a Request. Residents and business owners with storm damage can submit a description of their needs, including required repairs and specific materials or services. Step 2: Eligibility Review. DPP will verify requests based on official damage assessment reports to ensure resources reach those most affected. Step 3: Register as a Donor. Individuals and businesses can sign up to donate specific quantities of materials or offer volunteer time. Step 4: The Match. Once a match is identified, DPP will notify both parties to initiate the connection. Please note: -No Guarantee of Assistance. Submission of a request does not guarantee that materials or services will be provided. Assistance depends on available donations. -Permits are Required. Participation in the registry does not waive standard building permit requirements. Property owners must ensure all necessary permits are obtained before work begins. -Licensed Work required. Under Hawaii law, work requiring a licensed contractor must still be performed by a properly licensed professional. -Independent Agreements made. All arrangements regarding the transfer of materials or performance of work are made solely between the donor and the recipient. The City does not oversee these private agreements or guarantee the quality of workmanship. -Prioritization of needs and resources. The HPHA will accept 300 applications. -Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Waiting List. This waiting list serves the HPHA’s Housing Choice Voucher program on the island of Oahu. The HPHA is accepting applications for all voucher unit sizes. The HPHA will accept 1000 applications. The HPHA has adopted a lottery selection policy. After a waiting list closes, the HPHA will place applicants on the list in a randomized order. Applications will be active for 18 months from the date of placement on a waiting list and then expire. Aloha Harvest rescues quality donated food from hotels, restaurants, food distributors, caterers, businesses and individuals then delivers the food "free of charge" to approved social service agencies that feed the needy, hungry and homeless on Oahu. We store nothing. What is picked up each day is delivered that same day to the agencies. The drivers' routes are Sunday-Saturday 5:30 am - 1:00 pm.
