Early Childhood Services are provided to children three to six years old with delays in which age appropriate milestones are not yet met. These children typically fall outside the scope of the Department of Education & Special Education Services. The needs of each child are met through professional therapeutic services designed for the child to help them thrive in their home, preschool and community. Our goal is to better prepare the child for kindergarten and beyond by using family engagement techniques and strategies.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. Provides support and information for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender and questioning youth, their parents, teachers, counselors, and youth workers. If enough participants are available we can provides weekly support groups for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth up to age 25, when we have a minimum of 5 interested participants.

(Transitional Housing Program) Provides housing for victims who need safety and support and are ready to go to school/work. Program participants learn dynamics of domestic violence, develop safety plan, improve self-esteem and learn healthy parenting skills. Children develop safety plans and learn they’re not responsible for domestic violence. Length of stay varies depending on individual needs and up to 24 months at the Transitional Apartments. Transitional Housing Program provides housing for victims who need safety and support and are ready to go to school/work. Client learn dynamics of domestic violence, develop safety plan, improve self-esteem and learn healthy parenting skills. Children develop safety plans and learn they're not responsible for domestic violence. Length of stay varies depending on individual needs.

Offers rewards of up to $1000 to tipster who give information that leads to arrest or indictment of persons committing crimes or for the recovery of stolen property. All calls are confidential. Different unsolved crimes will be publicized in paper or television. Also accepts information on missing persons.

Assisting in helping those interested in running a child care business to becoming licensed by the State of Hawaii. Providing guidance regarding setting up a child care business. Providing free training on child development, nutrition, health and safety issues. Providing information about resources available to providers, such as the USDA Child Care Food Program that assists in paying for meals served in daycare. Referring parents who are looking for child care to licensed child care providers. Maintaining connections with child care providers, professional child care associations, and other child care professionals as well as helping others build those relationships in the community. The Intake, Information and Referral department provides Information and Referral to the specific programs for those who are eligible.

Offers tutoring, reading, and math workshops, computer lab, game room and playground activities, snack and appropriate movies.

(Alzheimers Related Disease Respite) Provides respite care for persons with Alzheimer's disease, stroke and other related disabilities. May accept incontinent patients. Does not administer medications. All involved people bring their own lunch.
