To help residents make the most of their visit, DPP is offering free, one-on-one prescheduled appointments with staff throughout the day. Each 20-minute session will focus on helping participants navigate the process to repair or rebuild their home or business, including questions about zoning, permitting pathways, and any required approvals. Those interested are encouraged to sign up in advance using the link below, select a preferred time slot, and provide detailed information and questions so staff can better prepare for their specific needs. A relative may make the order on behalf of the person needing the replacement by uploading a copy of their own government ID (if born in Hawaii) to establish a relationship to the impacted individual. If not born in Hawai‘i, additional documents may need to be shown to verify the relationship. Permitted relatives can include a grandparent, parent, child, sibling, aunt, uncle, or cousin. The fee for an affected individual’s first copy of a birth or marriage certificate will be waived with a FEMA disaster assistance ID Number and/or a Lahaina residential address.
