Reopening September 1, 2022, the Honolulu Museum of Art School offers courses in ceramics, printmaking, metalsmithing, textiles, drawing and painting, and a General Survey Art Exploration class. Curriculum is designed for a wide range of abilities, experiences, and expertise. Fall 2022 registration opens online and in-person on Wednesday July 13, 2022 at 10am. City and County of Honolulu non-resident seniors can use the Senior HOLO card to pay for rides on TheBus, and in the future the HandiVan, and the rail system on June 30, 2023. Go to the website for frequently asked questions (FAQ), register your card so you can protect it from loss or theft and transfer fees, sign up for the auto-reload program, check your balance for up to six family members and manage their cards and balances. Fares are capped and your money goes toward a daily pass. Once you spend the amount of a pass, you ride the rest of the day for free. Senior non-resident fares are $3. Transfers are free within 2.5 hours of riding the vehicle.

Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). -One-time automobile down payment -Up to 4 months of automobile payments Utility payments may include electricity, gas, or water expense, or a combination of these utility sources. Water expense may include sewer service fees. Payments are made directly to landlords, mortgage lenders, or utility providers. Services include: Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP); Parent coaching and family support; Developmental evaluations; Resources, information, and referral services; Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool. (Jdrf International - Hawaii Chapter) Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Southern California and Hawaii Chapter provides an outreach program - adult to adult mentorship that runs by volunteers, provides educational materials and information about diabetes, strives to alert the general public about the seriousness of diabetes, raises money to fund diabetes research, and has an advocacy program where they visit senators, etc. regarding diabetes government funding, children gets to travel to Washington DC to meet senators, etc. and talk about diabetes.

(Pa‘ūpili - Lahaina 3rd Saturdays) Festivals of Aloha provides Paupili 3rd Saturdays in Lahaina. It is a monthly community healing gathering held on the 3rd Saturday of the month 10:00 am–5:00 pm in Lahaina Town. Hosted by the Maui Emotional Resilience Collective (Maui ERC) – Healing Journey Team, this series creates a safe, culturally grounded, and inclusive space for residents impacted by the 2023 Maui wildfires. Through cultural practices, music, movement, art, storytelling, and reflection guided by local practitioners and kupuna, Paupili supports collective healing, strengthens emotional resilience, and helps restore community connection and cohesion.
