Our Honolulu site was opened in 1996 and is located on the 1st floor of the Prince Kuhio Federal Building. Rainbow School Honolulu has an Infant/Toddler program which is licensed for 15 infants and toddlers. Our Preschool program is licensed for 75 children ages 2-5 years old. Rainbow School, Inc. in Agreement with the US General Services Administration, provides childcare services to Federal employees who are given priority and the general public. We are licensed by the State of Hawaii and all staff meet State licensing requirements. We accept DHS – Child Care Connection, Open Door, First-to-Work, Kamehameha Schools’ Keiki Pauahi Scholars Program, and Federal subsidies. All tuition payments are done through the FACTS Tuition Management program. Your child’s Form 14, current TB clearance and DHS 908 Form are required upon acceptance into the school. Parents are also responsible for a non-refundable registration fee of $175 upon acceptance. If there are no availabilities, your child’s application will be placed on the center’s waitlist. Jewish Community Services of Hawaii provides case management, crisis intervention and referrals to resources. Services are provided through Zoom meetings, phone, and some home visiting. We have staff on Hawaii Island, Kauai, Maui, and Oahu.

Provides a national toll-free phone line to answer commonly asked questions on postal service, such as service hours, zip code and address information, and mailing rates. A caller attempting to reach a postal worker in Hawaii, or who asks a question that cannot be answered by Mainland operators, will be given a local number to call. (TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. Administers public service program for volunteers from community groups, churches, or businesses who agree to pick up litter on a section of highway their organization has adopted. Volunteers pick up litter on the specified section of highway at least four times a year. Provides high visibility vests, trash bags and safety information for volunteers. Removes filled bags and heavy hazardous items from roadsides. Erects signs on the highways to recognize volunteers' cleaning efforts.

Waikiki Health's HIV Early Intervention Services Program is committed to the early detection and treatment of HIV, which can help prevent the onset of AIDS and other opportunistic infections. Confidential HIV and Hepatitis C testing and counseling are available at the Waikiki Health’s Ohua Clinic in Waikiki and Makahiki Medical and Dental Clinic in McCully/Moiliili. Our prevention services team offers a wide variety of programs designed to reach individuals at risk for confronting HIV. Waikiki Health integrates HIV specialty care with primary medical, behavioral health, dental care and support services. Available as well during service hours at the Ohua Clinic in Waikiki

(Food Pantry) Hope Chapel Kahuku operates a food pantry distribution service usually 4th Monday of each month, please call ahead. Also offers a distribution of household goods and clothing and accepts donations of small household items and clothing.

Oahu State Parks include: Diamond Head State Monument, Hanauma Bay State Underwater Park, Heeia State Park, Iolani Palace State Monument, Kaena Point State Park, Kahana Valley State Park, Keaiwa Heiau State Recreation Area, Makapuu Point State Wayside, Malaekahana State Recreation Area, Nuuanu Pali State Wayside, Puu o Mahuka Heiau State Monument, Puu Ualakaa State Wayside, Royal Mausoleum State Monument, Sand Island State Recreation Area, Ulu Po Heiau State Monument, Waahila Ridge State Recreation Area, Wahiawa Freshwater State Recreation Area. No state parks located on Lanai. Kakaako Waterfront Park is managed by Hawaii Community Development Authority. Sacred Falls State Park on Oahu remains closed since a rockslide in 1999.
