Hawaii Aging and Disability Resource Center

The Aging and Disability Resource Center is the source for individuals who are aging and have disabilities to get impartial information about support and services that help them remain living at home as long as possible with dignity and quality of life. The ADRC staff members provide Options Counseling. It's a process that assists you to make informed decisions to select the long term services and support you need to age well and maintain independence.
The ADRC is for people of all incomes and ages, to help you make plans that carry out your individual needs and preferences. It is also a point of access for all publically funded long term support programs and benefits. ADRC is operated by the State of Hawaii in cooperation with the four county governments.
Anyone who wants to explore their options for long term support and services, or for help to family caregivers, may also use the ADRC website to search an online database for options, or to request the ADRC staff to contact them.

The program also offers intensive case management services known as Pathway of Hope (POH). HHHRC offers ongoing, free, non-judgmental wound care services in our office and in a street-based setting.
The clinic provides basic wound care that can be managed in a community setting, which inludes, but is not limited to:
-Simple i&Ds that were preformed at the bedside and/or were discharged from the ED
-Typical level 4 or 5 patients (based on triage acuity)
-Patients appropriate for outpatient setting needing follow-up
-Patients with chronic wounds without evidence of acute infection and not requiring IV antibiotics
-Dermis layer or subcutaneous layer wounds that do not require debridement
-Cellulitis patients without SIRS and reliable to follow-up
-Dressing changes with discharge orders

UCPA's Early Intervention Services is sponsored by the State of Hawaii's Department of Health - Early Intervention Section. The program provides services to children between the ages of birth to three years of age with developmental delays. Services are provided in each child's natural environment (e.g., home) with the goal of educating, enhancing and coaching parents and caregivers to support development within the context of the child's daily routines and activities.

Habitat for Humanity Maui follows the principals of Habitat for Humanity International by selling homes to low income families at a no interest and no profit basis. Issues permits for hiking, hunting, taking of plants from reserve areas. Sells seedlings for Christmas trees, reforestation and wind breaks. Manages public hunting areas, public hiking areas, forest reserves, wildlife sanctuaries, natural area reserves. Accepts reports of forest pests, including new and unusual weeds and certain birds. Pest reports accepted include: wild pigs, snakes, large lizards, ferrets, the banana poka (a weed), the bulbul (a bird) on neighbor islands, and the mongoose on Kauai.

Exhibits an 8 acre garden in a local setting through a self-guided tour. Offers picnic area for visitors, an aviary, a carp pond, a stream, a bird sanctuary (including Nene Geese), Hawaiian Statues, a covered bridge, and a souvenir and light snack shop.
Stroller friendly garden. It takes about 1 hour to go through so be here by 3pm to enjoy the garden.
