The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. A paper copy of the application can be downloaded, printed, signed and submitted via US postal mail or dropped off in the drop box. Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Credit - Naalehu

(H-HEAP, LIHEAP, LIHEAP EC, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Credit - Naalehu) The Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program (H-HEAP) is a federally funded program that provides eligible low-income households with a one-time utility assistance payment. Applications for the Energy Credit Program (disconnection notice not required) will be accepted June 2025. The Energy Credit (EC) assists households not in crisis needing assistance with utility costs by providing a one-time supplemental payment to help offset the client's cost. EC applications are accepted every June and payments are made directly to your utility company (Hawaiian Electric or Hawaii Gas Company) during the following Fiscal year. You can choose either Energy Credit (EC) or Emergency Crisis Intervention (ECI) just one assistance per fiscal year. A checklist of additional required documents is included in the application. Documents can be sent as a PDF or JPEG as long as copies are clear. H-HEAP will not be responsible for returning original documents if sent in (e.g. ID's, Birth Certificates, Social Security Cards, Paystubs, Housing Documentation, etc.); Please provide copies only.
