This program provides intensive outpatient treatment for men and women with substance abuse issues. Services include the following: comprehensive screening and assessment, intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, individual counseling, gender specific groups, family and couples counseling, parenting classes, alcohol and drug education, and case management services.

Operates 24-hour child abuse and neglect hotline. Receives all reports of child abuse or neglect. Provides case consultation and assessment. Provides crisis intervention on behalf of children in need of immediate protection.

Habitat for Humanity Maui follows the principals of Habitat for Humanity International by selling homes to low income families at a no interest and no profit basis. They serve families that are between 25% and 80% of the median income for Maui County. Families are required to attend homeowner education classes, budget counseling and credit counseling. (TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households.
