United States Veterans Initiative Hawaii provides transitional housing in a safe, sober environment with case management and employment assistance for veterans.

Roots Reborn provides extensive legal support to the immigrant community in Maui through pro bono and low bono services and partnership with experienced immigration attorneys. This includes document replacement, legal representation for complex cases, and advocacy against policies that threaten immigrant rights. We also host Know Your Rights trainings, aimed at empowering our community through education of their constitutional rights, regardless of immigration status.

(TVAP) Sex Trafficking Case Management services are provided to juvenile victims and their families or caregivers through the Trafficking Victim Assistance Program (TVAP). In partnership with the Susannah Wesley Community Center and Hale Kipa, Parents And Children Together provides victim centered trauma-informed comprehensive case management to survivors of sex trafficking. Services include crisis response, intake screening, and case management designed to support the victim in leaving the trafficking situation. The Floor Covering Industry Foundation provides financial assistance to individuals who: have worked in the floor covering industry for 5 or more years, have had a life-altering medical event, and in financial crisis.

The Hawaii Department of Human Services (DHS) continues to closely monitor the federal government shutdown and its potential impact on programs that provide essential food assistance to Hawaii families. If the federal shutdown continues into November, federal funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program may be unavailable, which could delay or prevent the issuance of November benefits. (Environment Material Goods) Re-use Hawaii reduces waste and provides deconstruction services as a sustainable alternative to demolition. Our skilled teams remove structures by hand for the purpose of recovering the material for reuse. The recovered material is made available at our Redistribution Center, which provides these materials to the community as an affordable building material resource.
