(HYOC) Established in 1961, we are Hawaii's longest running community youth choir. We offer a full spectrum of music education, open to all students, grades k-12 throughout Oahu. Students participate through weekly involvement, Saturday Programs, or outreach and festival programs. Participants range from absolute beginners to advanced vocalists. We produce, on average, 20 - 30 concerts per year, half of which are free to the public including music concerts in elderly care facilities and other community venues. HYOC helps to foster the personal and social growth of its members and promotes their self-esteem, as well as giving children a lifetime of music appreciation. The chorus was started when our sister organization, Hawaii Opera Theatre (HOT), needed a children's chorus for one of their productions. The relationship with HOT is maintained to this day and when children are needed for their opera productions in the Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall they come from HYOC. Music Festivals HYOC produces Choral Festivals specifically for the Elementary aged student (E Mele Kakou) and the advanced treble middle school singer (Na Leo Pili Mai). Each school and community choir is given an experience of basic musical concepts, vocal technique, hula and are invited to share their music with all attendees as well as the opportunity to sing with an orchestra in the beautiful acoustics of Kawaiaha’o Church. In collaboration with ACDA-HI (American Choral Director’s Association-Hawai’i Chapter), HYOC sponsors and participates in the High School Choral Festival (Na Leo Hou). In addition to learning great choral music, weekly classes in theory and hula are taught. Optional classes in piano and voice are also offered. Students must be enrolled as singing members to participate in optional classes. Most importantly we offer young people the opportunity to learn, have fun and make friendships that last a lifetime.

Provides a fun and educational program for children and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. Promotes and encourages youth of all ages to participate in group and outdoor activities.

Advises, explains procedures, and orients victims/witnesses to the criminal justice system. Accompanies some clients to court. Provides information on cases to appropriate persons. Promotes public awareness of victim/witness concerns. Assists victims with restitution, compensation and referral to community agencies if applicable.

Issues commercial and individual fishing licenses and permits. Researches the biology, ecology and use of fishery resources. Serves as federal liaison when protected marine animals are stranded including monk seals, sea turtles and whales. Documents ocean and river water pollution incidents such as oil and chemical spills. Conducts public education on marine and fresh water issues.

Collects State taxes. Provides information and assistance on preparation of tax forms. Provides assistance to the elderly and the disabled in filing State tax credits. Issues general excise tax licenses. Furnishes State tax forms.

Services focus on health promotion, health education, health care services and research. We provide disease prevention and control services, health screening, health advocacy, outreach, traditional healing, fitness and nutrition programs, tobacco cessation, health insurance application assistance, cancer navigation, primary medical care, and dental care.

Roots Reborn supports migrant and immigrant families by helping them access critical resources and services. We offer hands-on support with applications for aid, provide language support, and assist with navigating complex systems. Through strong community partnerships, including MauiWES, Kaiser Permanente, CNHA, and Maui United Way, we connect individuals to healthcare services, housing resources, and financial support.

Conducts investigations for pre-sentence reports and conditional release motions. Supervises adult felons and some misdemeanants who are placed on probation, supervises deferred acceptance of guilty pleas or conditional discharges. Hina's Legacy Rescue Foundation actively recruits volunteers to assist with rescues, foster care, and community events. We provide comprehensive training to ensure volunteers are prepared to support animals in a meaningful way, whether through hands-on care, helping at adoption events, or educating the public about animal welfare.

Provides a statewide information and referral line. Helps direct callers to community organization that provide the services they are looking for. Program also provides emergency fund to assist Native Hawaiians to those that are eligible.

Maintains 18 hole golf course, pro shop and restaurant. Offers golf lessons.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions.
