(Wendys Wonderful Kids - Adoption Services) Wendy’s Wonderful Kids offers proactive, child-focused recruitment of adoptive families for children who have been placed in long-term foster care. Sponsored by the Dave Thomas Foundation, this unique program provides intensive social work services to find the best adoptive home for a child by exploring all facets of the child’s family, school, and friendship circles, as well as recruiting families from the broader community. Imua Autism Services works with children up to 6 years old using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA is an evidence-based, therapy that focuses on improving social skills, communication and human behavior and is an effective method to help children with autism and other developmental disabilities learn the skills they need to move forward. Imua Family Services understand that each child learns differently. Our goal is to provide an interactive, fun, play-based learning program. We take a collaborative approach incorporating family members and caregivers to develop a comprehensive plan. We work to personalize educational programs for both the child and parents using interviews, observations and natural environment assessments. Imua Family Services also provides ABA services through our Therapeutic Preschool and Kindergarten Readiness Program.
