The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Kukui Center was designed and renovated to meet the need to provide an easily identified and specialized place where abused, vulnerable and disadvantaged children and their families can receive the help they need. Professional and volunteer help is available elsewhere throughout our community but in many different locations. Even when needed, the follow through on referrals can be poor as parents and young adults are often overwhelmed by the demands of their daily lives. Housing a variety of services together is more user friendly for children, youth and families and will help insure they can access the strong community support that is available.

ISG offers an array of support services and product sales (assistive technology) for people who are blind or experience low vision, are deaf or are hard of hearing, or have a speech disability. ISG is a local distributor for many key mainland manufacturers of high and low technology such as desktop and portable video magnifiers, screen reading computer programs, and many other low vision aids. ISG sells and services assistive listening and alerting devices such as FM listening systems and telephone/doorbell alerting systems. ISG conducts assessment with people with disabilities to evaluate their need for assistive technology that can aid in one's productivity for independent living or employment. ISG coordinates services from a fully accessible, model home in Honolulu where an array of technology is on display for people to "try before you buy". ISG hosts the Assistive Technology User Group meetings.

Outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and hearing therapy for work injuries, personal injuries, and medical conditions.

Provides volunteer opportunities to university students. Coordinates service learning programs throughout the state. We create projects as well as provide volunteers for projects already created by agencies.

Reporting missing persons.

Assists people with a one-time credit once every 12 month rolling period. Maximum subsidy may not exceed $300. Clients may not apply for this program and Kauai Economic Opportunity Low Income Assistance Program in the same 12 month rolling period.

Private school includes grades K-8 for boys and girls.

Coordinates self-help housing projects consisting of 6 - 12 families in a building group. An experienced builder-foreman-teacher shows the group how to build. Saves about 25%-30% of the house cost. When 6 - 12 families build as a group, the houses are finished at the same time. Each family puts in the same number of hours of labor and builds the same house depending on family size. Uses "mass-construction" techniques. Takes 6 - 12 months to build the houses.

Provides educational and registration information to individuals and groups regarding volunteer bone marrow donor program. Provides scheduling for tissue typing test on Oahu and all neighbor islands. Affiliated with National Marrow Donor Program. Hawaii Registry located at St. Francis Medical Center.

(HUOA) The Legacy Ballroom is a fully air-conditioned, multi-functional auditorium/theater and banquet hall, featuring a 40 foot wide theater stage, a professional lighting and sound system and a large projection screen that drops from above the stage. A beautiful garden provides the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding and picture taking. The Ballroom can accommodate up to 800 guests for a sit-down banquet or up to 1,200 guests for a stand-up reception or in a theater style sitting configuration. The Legacy Ballroom can also be divided into two smaller rooms, Legacy I and Legacy II. Our Legacy I Ballroom seats (min.) 200 to 350 (max.) guests, and our Legacy II Ballroom seats (min.) 125 to 200 (max.) guests.

Akaku Maui Community Media manages the community access television station, offers production training, and provides production services to non-profit agencies. We will list non-profit events and announcements on the Video Bulletin Board. We cablecast programming 24 hours a day on Hawaiian Cablevision channels 44, 45, 12 on Maui, 52, 53, 12 on West Maui, 3, 13, 12 on Molokai/Lanai. We accept all non-commercial programming.

Maintains information resources, i.e. books, magazines, musical recordings, video and audio tapes, State and County government documents and Hawaiiana materials. Provides fax service to send messages to State legislators. Provides access to wi-fi and telephone reference service. Voter registration forms also available.

Provides supervision, counseling redirecting and referrals to services in the community.

Transitional Family Care for youth 5 - 17 years of age with emotional and/or behavioral disturbances, Hale Kipa's Therapeutic Foster Care Program provides community-based services within a family home setting. The 3-9 month program is often a "step-down" from hospitalization or a residential setting and can be helpful in transitioning youth from a higher level of care to successful integration into the community.

St. Francis Health Services for Senior Citizens, in partnership with the City and County of Honolulu’s Elderly Affairs Division, provides bathing and personal grooming services for Oahu’s frail elders. We come to your home to provide baths or personal care services, with priority given to those with low incomes living in rural areas. St. Francis Healthcare System offers the following services for older adults: Baths, showers and shampoos in bed, tub or shower Routine nail, skin and hair care Oral care Shaving Changing bed linens

(Maui Second Circuit Self Help Center Hoapili Hale) The Maui Court Self-Help Center will provide legal help to the community on a pilot basis. Volunteer attorneys from the Maui County Bar Association will provide limited legal information by telephone in areas such as landlord-tenant, family, and other district court matters. Access by telephone for Molokai, Lanai and Hana residents only when the center is open. The Center does not accept voice messages. Court Navigators for Lanaʻi, Maui, and Molokaʻi are now available by email In 2018, an in-person Volunteer Court Navigator Program was established in the Second Circuit (Maui County). Volunteer Court Navigators assisted unrepresented individuals at Hoapili Hale by answering questions concerning court resources, locations, and procedures. Note: Volunteer Court Navigators cannot provide legal advice or representation. The Volunteer Court Navigator Program has expanded to include services by email. Unrepresented persons can now submit requests for information to: [email protected] The Navigators will make every effort to respond to requests for information pertaining to cases in the Second Circuit (Lanaʻi, Maui, Molokaʻi) within one business day, although it may sometimes take longer to obtain the information necessary to respond to requests for information.

(Womens Health) Provides women's health care services including annual well-woman exams, pap smears, clinical breast exams, birth control and contraception. Diagnoses and treats minor gynecological concerns and sexually transmitted infections. Provides pregnancy testing, pregnancy and postpartum care, breastfeeding and lactation consulting. Teen counseling and education is available. Offers perimenopausal and menopausal support.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Church provides food to families and individuals that need food on the 3rd Thursday of the month 9:30 am - 10:30 am. Walk in for help. Call the office during office hours to see if emergency food is available.

Advocates for the betterment of native Hawaiians. Assesses needs. Develops demonstration projects. Provides scholarships, small business loans, and business assistance. Advises on cultural protocol. Provides voter registration and education. Provides legal assistance and referral for human service programs. Assists with housing needs. Publishes monthly newspaper. Recommends speakers on Hawaiian issues and culture. Maintains a registry of persons of Hawaiian ancestry. Assesses needs of native Hawaiians and advocates on their behalf. Registers and tracks persons of Hawaiian ancestry to help OHA determine how best to distribute benefits from federal programs addressing health, education and economic development. This also qualifies Hawaiians for special group benefits to be organized by OHA, including group insurance and discounts on selected retail and service purchases.

Offers family literacy programs to residents of housing projects Mayor Wright Homes (MWH) and Kuhio Park Towers (KPT) in Kalihi. Also offers family libraries, Saturday story hours, and age-appropriate activities for children, and free twice weekly English and computer classes for adults in public housing.

(Halawa District Park) Halawa District Park Market is a low cost market where farmers sell fresh produce, baked goods, and fish directly to the public. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) voucher are accepted.
