(ADRC) The Aging and Disability Resource Center is the source for individuals who are aging and have disabilities to get impartial information about support and services that help them remain living at home as long as possible with dignity and quality of life. The ADRC staff members provide Options Counseling. It's a process that assists you to make informed decisions to select the long term services and support you need to age well and maintain independence. The ADRC is for people of all incomes and ages, to help you make plans that carry out your individual needs and preferences. It is also a point of access for all publically funded long term support programs and benefits. ADRC is operated by the State of Hawaii in cooperation with the four county governments.

Provides opportunities for youth socialization, recreation, education and cultural awareness in a safe and positive environment. Offers camping trips, ceramic, computer and graphics, cooking, creative writing classes; dodgeball, Hawaiiana - hula, music, language-library visits, pool table, study hall, tennis, volleyball, weightlifting, windsurfing lessons and woodworking. Sponsors a boys club, girls club, bistro nights, community workdays and monthly community dances. Serves as a community resource to access professional programs and other youth programs.

(DARE Program) Deals mainly with the Elementary school-age audience in substance abuse prevention and education, and/or safety talks within the elementary level.

Enforces the State Wage and Hour Law, Wages and Hours of Employees on Public Works Law, Payment of Wages and Other Compensation Law, Child Labor Law, and Hawaii Family Leave Law. Administers statewide program of labor law enforcement involving compliance investigations of minimum wage, overtime, and payroll records, prevailing wage and overtime for laborers performing work on State and County public works construction projects, illegal deduction, late pay, and pay statement violations. Administers program for hearings related to unlawful suspension or discharge due to work injury or garnishment. Investigates unlawful practices relating to lie detector tests. Enforces Hawaii child labor law relating to employment of minors under 18 years of age. Provides information on obtaining work permits.

Through public-private partnerships, Malama Maui Nui stretches government dollars further by gaining the in-kind support of local businesses and volunteers to malama aina in Maui Nui. Projects include marine debris cleanups, coral reef outreach & education, invasive plant control, native outplanting, illegal dumpsite clearing, litter pickups, graffiti cleanup, recycling, community paint exchange, and environmental education. Ongoing volunteer opportunities are available in Kihei at our Laie Wetland Restoration Project, in Kahului at Kanaha Beach Park, and at various community.

(Womens Outpatient Clinic) Operates an outpatient clinic offering comprehensive medical, obstetrical and gynecological care. Offers family planning services, pregnancy testing, prenatal and high risk prenatal care, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, dietary counseling, urgent care, teen clinic, Endocrine clinic and various clinic procedures.

Transfers are free within 2.5 hours of riding the vehicle.

(SFMNP) Hawaii’s Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) offers eligible seniors $50 worth of coupons (10 coupons valued at $5 each) to obtain eligible foods without charge from participating farmers, farmers’ markets and roadside stands that have been approved to accept SFMNP coupons. Applications accepted starting April 1st. The program runs April 1st - October 31st. Maximum household income of 185% or below of the US Federal Poverty Guidelines. (Hawaii Childrens Discovery Center) Offers a "world-class" educational facility which provides families with a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow together. The center is filled with "state-of-the-art" hands-on, interactive exhibits which encourage visitors to learn through play. The exhibits are designed to stimulate children's curiosity and to promote the concept of "life-long learning". Four major galleries full of exhibits provide a stimulating and educational experience for the young and "young at heart" to experience and enjoy. Volunteers are welcomed and training is provided. Accepts volunteers who are at least 17 years of age and able to stand and move throughout the exhibit galleries.

Gregory House Programs's Save the FoodBasket program delivers food to those who are house bound or in rural areas and distributes groceries at a rented space in a centrally located church. Information on the distribution location available upon the completion of a referral. All recipients get an equal amount of frozen meats, produce, dairy, and non-perishable goods. Hot lunches are available twice a week. Other services include limited toiletries and cleaning supplies, nutrition classes, and nutrition counseling.

Maintains information resources, i.e. books, magazines, musical recordings, video and audio tapes, State and County government documents and Hawaiiana materials. Provides fax service to send messages to State legislators. Provides access to wi-fi and telephone reference service.

Supervises adult felons and some misdemeanants who are placed on probation, supervises deferred acceptance of guilty pleas or conditional discharges. Supervises interstate felon or misdemeanant probationers.

Hope lodge - free overnight housing for patients traveling to the mainland for treatment.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Maui operates a drop-in service facility for youth ages 8 years old to 18 years old, if enrolled in high school. Programs and activities include: character and leadership; healthy lifestyles; sports, fitness, and recreation; education; and workforce development.

(Isolation/Quarantine Orders) For university students attending University of Hawaii campuses across the state, such as UHM, Chaminade University, and Hawaii Pacific University: University students from out-of-state who are studying on Oahu and Kauai can participate in modified quarantine procedures that create a so-called ""modified quarantine bubble"" (MQB) The MQB allows these students to avoid the standard 14-day quarantine when courses begin in the fall semester. (Students began moving into UHM residence halls on Monday, August 17, and courses begin on Monday, August 24.) The MQB includes the following requirements: -All students planning to participate in the MQB must have tested negative for COVID-19, either within 72 hours of their departure when they flew to Hawaii or within 48 hours of their arrival in Hawaii. -Anyone not receiving a negative test must follow the mandatory 14-day quarantine for all travelers to Hawaii. Lanakila Teaching and Learning Centers (TLC), a program of Lanakila Pacific, assists adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with mastering basic skills to expand their life experiences and foster a sense of independence. Focusing on each person’s individual needs, Adult Day Health programs located in Honolulu and Wahiawa offer in-house classes, community outings and recreational opportunities that can help participants build the confidence and skills needed to integrate into the community as well as engage in volunteer and pre-vocational activities. The Employment Exploration component enables participants to identify interests and explore potential integrated employment settings.
