The Hawaii Unemployment Insurance Division, in partnership with the U.S Department of Labor and U.S. Postal Service have launched two new methods to provide ID verification – Login.gov and USPS in person proofing.
Claimants filing for UI benefits on or after August 24, 2023 must provide proof of ID through one of these methods to continue their claim for UI benefits. Claimants can select a method of ID proofing though their initial claim confirmation page or through their claimant dashboard. Applicants filing after August 24, 2023 have 7 days after submitting a UI or DUA application to complete the ID verification.

Rebuild Donation Match Registry

City and County of Honolulu Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) provides a Rebuild Donation Match Registry.
Step 1: Submit a Request. Residents and business owners with storm damage can submit a description of their needs, including required repairs and specific materials or services.
Step 2: Eligibility Review. DPP will verify requests based on official damage assessment reports to ensure resources reach those most affected.
Step 3: Register as a Donor. Individuals and businesses can sign up to donate specific quantities of materials or offer volunteer time.
Step 4: The Match. Once a match is identified, DPP will notify both parties to initiate the connection.
Please note:
-No Guarantee of Assistance. Submission of a request does not guarantee that materials or services will be provided. Assistance depends on available donations.
-Permits are Required. Participation in the registry does not waive standard building permit requirements. Property owners must ensure all necessary permits are obtained before work begins.
-Licensed Work required. Under Hawaii law, work requiring a licensed contractor must still be performed by a properly licensed professional.
-Independent Agreements made. All arrangements regarding the transfer of materials or performance of work are made solely between the donor and the recipient. The City does not oversee these private agreements or guarantee the quality of workmanship.
-Prioritization of needs and resources. The program may prioritize participants based on need and available resources.

Operates a museum dedicated to preserving and perpetuating the maritime history of Hawaii. A self-guided audio tour of over 40 exhibits is available in English, Japanese, and Korean. Displays one of only two humpback whale skeletons in the world, the Falls of Clyde, (the only surviving four-masted full-rigged ship and float in the world, and a National Historic Landmark), and the Polynesian voyaging canoe Hokule'a. Military OneSource is a Department of Defense-funded program that’s both a 24/7/365 call center and a website providing comprehensive information, resources and assistance on every aspect of military life—all at no cost to the user. Military OneSource provides information and referral on a wide range of topics including deployment, reintegration, financial, relationship issues, grief, spouse employment and education, and parenting and life skills. All calls to the call center are answered live by a master’s-level consultant. A central service provided by Military OneSource is confidential non-medical counseling. Non-medical counseling is available for up to 12 sessions, per person, per issue and is intended to prevent the development or exacerbation of lifestyle conditions that may compromise military and family readiness. Sessions are available in-person, by telephone, secure online chat and video.
