(HNS Ops) Provides phone numbers to all military facilities.

(Domestic Violence Services for Families) When child abuse occurs in the home, violent behavior towards spouses and others is also often present. After a family is required to enter the child welfare system and is discovered to be experiencing other forms of domestic violence a care plan is developed for each family member. Services are then provided for both survivors (victims) and batterers (perpetrators) of violent behavior. Survivors create a safety plan and are offered various supportive services. Batterers are assessed and provided opportunities to learn alternative attitudes and behaviors. This program works with families involved in the child welfare system who are also experiencing domestic violence. Staff work with each family to assess for domestic violence and/or risk factors related to domestic violence. A care plan is developed for each family member. The services that are available for each family include: Domestic Violence Survivor Support and Pattern Changing Groups for Victims, Individual Counseling and Support for each family member, Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focusing on children, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Children’s Support Groups, and/or Adolescent Support Groups.

The Hawai'i Health & Harm Reduction Center serves Hawai'i communities by reducing the harm and fighting the stigma of HIV, hepatitis, homelessness, substance use, mental illness, and poverty in our community. We focus our efforts on those disproportionately affected by social determinants of health, including but not limited to: people living with and/or affected by HIV, hepatitis, substance use, and the transgender, LGBQ and the Native Hawaiian communities. We foster health, wellness, and systemic change in Hawai'i and the Pacific through care services, advocacy, training, prevention, education, and capacity building. (FSS, Family Strengthening Service) This program helps families provide a safe home for their children, promote positive parenting, and prevent child abuse and neglect. Families receive free, short-term, home visiting services designed to provide support and help maintain and improve individual and family function by improving parenting skills. The program also provides information and linkages to community resources. Assists families that are referred to us by the Child Welfare Services. Strengthening the family's skills to help them provide a nurturing environment and connects them with community resources.

Serves as an informational resource for all EPA programs. Provides EPA materials to general public, Federal, Hawaii State and county government agencies, elected officials and environmental organizations. Conducts environmental outreach activities through Hawaii schools, community groups and environmental events. Developed teacher information packets of environmental lesson materials. Conducts speaking engagements at schools for all grade levels and the general public. Works to facilitate communication flow between Hawaii media and EPA personnel by assisting reporters in obtaining background information on news release subjects or directing the media to the proper Regional sources.

Hoa Aina O Makaha provides U-Pick events where guests are welcome to harvest from designated fields, assist farmers with planting, wash and weigh what you harvest, learn health benefits/recipes of whatever is in their baskets, and take starters home for their gardens. U-Pick events are typically scheduled for the last Saturday of each month from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (unless otherwise noted). Visit the website to check the Upcoming Events.
