Developing Options to Violence (DOV) offers a full spectrum of services to women, men, adolescents, and children in the intervention and prevention of domestic violence. Professional counselors on call to help youth who are in psychiatric crisis or to supplement the efforts of their caregivers. Counselors can refer clients to specialized, short-term, out-of-home placement when needed. The following services are available to families experience domestic violence: Adult Programs

• Domestic violence interventions services for individuals who use physical, emotional, psychological and/ or sexual abuse in intimate relationships.
• Support groups for individuals who are experience emotional, psychological and/or sexual abuse in intimate relationships.
• Violence Control groups for individuals who have use violence towards other family members (parents, siblings)

Adolescent Program: To assist adolescents in understanding their behavior and how to make appropriate changes. Children's Group: To help children who have witnessed domestic violence understand it and deal with their feelings about it. Parents are required to participate in support group while children receive services.

(Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii) Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii (VLSH) is the only organization in the state whose sole mission is to serve people in Hawaii with low to moderate income community through volunteer attorneys. Volunteer Legal’s pool of pro bono attorneys provide legal services in a wide range of civil matters, including divorces, paternities, custodies, child support, guardianships, adoptions, powers of attorney, wills, healthcare directives, landlord-tenant cases, collections, and Chapter 7 bankruptcies. Neighborhood Advice and Counsel clinics are being held in-person and via telephone. Clients are responsible for all legal deadlines associated with their case. We experience a high volume of calls. Scholarships are given as a reimbursement for the tuition of college-level courses in early childhood education, for Professional and Career Education for Early Childhood (PACE) classes taken if converted to college credits, or for direct assessment fees in obtaining a Child Development Association (CDA) certificate.
