--The Salvation Army is suspending financial assistance distributions at The City and County of Honolulu Community Assistance Center at Waialua District Park as of April 7, 2026, with its Emergency Disaster Services pivoting to provide meals at county shelters during the current storm event. Social Security Death Index: Lists about 38 million deceased persons who had Social Security numbers and whose deaths were reported to that administration. 5. US Military Index: Index of individuals in the United States military who died, or were declared dead, in Korea or Vietnam (1950-1975). 6. Personal Ancestral File software available for Ancestral use on computers in library to make your own family record. 7. Hawaii delayed birth records index on computer. 8. Scottish Church Records.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. Kualoa Heeia Ecumenical Youth Project is accepting donations of goods for persons affected by the Kona Low on March 2026. Items accepted are: -canned foods (not expired or rusted) -hygiene products for men, women and children (unused) -non-perishable food items (not expired) The most requested items are: -blankets -canned vegetables, beans and soup -diapers and wipes -generators -shelf-stable foods -shelf-stable milk and baby formula -towels -water

Serves environmentally at-risk families. Participants include prenatal women and families with children birth to three years old. The infants and children are considered at-risk for child abuse and neglect and developmental delays. The program provides comprehensive home visitation, child development screening and intervention, as well as psychosocial assessment, and motivational readiness for treatment and brief counseling. The intensity of the program varies over the course of service, starting with weekly home visits, and reducing the frequency as the family and child meet their goals.

Has exclusive jurisdiction in petty and criminal misdemeanors, initial criminal procedures in felony cases originating within their districts, traffic and parking violations, violations of County ordinances, violations of agency regulations, and Civil cases when the contested amount does not exceed $20,000.

(Hawaii Homeownership Center - Honolulu Office) The Hawaii HomeOwnership Center's (HHOC) lifetime membership prepares buyers for the home purchase through classes and individual coaching. Classes address the general concepts about preparing for homeownership and the buying process; individual coaching provides support to identify buyer resources and create an action plan to become mortgage ready. Support after our members become homeowners is available through workshops and confidential meetings.

Assists Korean citizens on assignment in Hawaii. Provides information for prospective visitors to Korea. Provides visa and passport assistance.

United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawai‘i runs an island-wide (O‘ahu only) donation pick-up service, and the reusable clothing and small household items collected are sold to Savers thrift store. While providing funding for our programs, we’re also able to help reduce the burden on the landfills as well. Donated goods are recycled rather than discarded.

Provides noxious weed control, seed testing, seed certification, plant disease control and eradication. Operates Miconia Hotline for the eradication of the weed. Accepts reports of noxious weeds and plant diseases such as miconia, banana bunchy top disease, papaya ringspot virus, banana poka, gorse, ivy gourd.

Provides care coordination to target populations. Participates with communities to problem-solve health issues. Provides education in women and child health, chronic diseases, etc. Facilitates access to health care. Conducts screening tests and source/contact investigations on tuberculosis (TB) cases. Provides health services in public schools, consultation services to private schools, day care, and residential care homes.

Offers a place for frail and not-so-frail seniors to gather and socialize with others. Program targets isolated seniors who are alone during the day and are in need of mental and physical stimulation to maintain their current level of functioning, thus delaying the need for more supportive care. This is a day activities program for the elderly. The focus is on healthy aging through intervention in the mental and social decline of seniors. Activities are age- and level-of-functioning appropriate and include chair exercise, arts and crafts, socialization, singing and games that challenge them.

Social enterprise loans are available to help finance the acquisition, development and construction of affordable housing, or for general operations to support affordable housing programs

Kealia Pond is a National Wildlife Refuge that is home to native and endangered Hawaiian waterbirds. No dogs or pets allowed.

Works with children of West Hawaii who have been traumatized by sexual assault, physical abuse or neglect, or who are witnesses to violent crime. Goal is to "help a victim become a child again."
