Callers who meet the eligibility requirements are mailed the name of an ophthalmologist participating near their home. Participating physicians provide a comprehensive, medical eye exam and care for anything diagnosed at the initial visit for up to one year at no out-of-pocket cost for the physician's services. (ELR) Early Learning Readiness (ELR) for Family, Friend and Neighbor Caregivers is a research-based community program that gives young children (not in facility-based childcare), high-quality physical, emotional and cognitive experiences. It also equips their teacher, ensuring they start kindergarten ready to learn. The program provides a stimulating, preschool-like experience through learning centers that foster young child development and improve school readiness, while also supporting and developing the skills and knowledge of caregivers. Early Learning Readiness - services are provided at the Aliamanu Military Reservations for the Pearl Harbor and Wheeler Schoefield locations.
