The Salvation Army Lihue Corps provides a place and opportunity for religious expression by those who choose the Salvation Army. Provides character building programs for all ages. Assistance is provided to those who are in need of food and clothing. Provides hospital visits, care home visit, and shut-in visitation to the institutionalized. Mobile showers are available every Tuesday from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm. Back to school supplies program is available mid-July. Holiday programs available as well. Worship services Sunday 10:30 am - 12:15 pm.

Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii (VLSH) is the only organization in the state whose sole mission is to serve people in Hawaii with low to moderate income community through volunteer attorneys. Volunteer Legal’s pool of pro bono attorneys provide legal services in a wide range of civil matters, including divorces, paternities, custodies, child support, guardianships, adoptions, powers of attorney, wills, healthcare directives, landlord-tenant cases, collections, and Chapter 7 bankruptcies. Neighborhood Advice and Counsel clinics are being held in-person and via telephone. Clients are responsible for all legal deadlines associated with their case. We experience a high volume of calls. Please leave a brief message with your name, number, and brief description of your legal issue. Your call will be returned in the order it was received, generally within 48 to 72 hours.

(Epilepsy and Seizures 24 Hours Helpline, Epilepsy and Seizure Helpline, Epilepsy Foundation) The Epilepsy and Seizures Helpline has trained information specialists to answer your questions about epilepsy and seizures and provide you with help, hope, support, guidance, and access to national and local resources.

Provides home care services to homebound patients: skilled nursing, occupational therapy, medical social services, home health aides, physical therapy and speech therapy. Offers intravenous therapy (i.e., fluids, antibiotics, nutritional fluids), wound care, teaching patient and/or family member appropriate skills to care for self or patient. Aides assist with bathing, ambulation, feeding, light housekeeping.

(Food Pantry) Hope Chapel Kahuku operates a food pantry distribution service usually 4th Monday of each month, please call ahead. Also offers a distribution of household goods and clothing and accepts donations of small household items and clothing.

At LTC, our goal is to provide our clients with a continuum of care to meet them right where they are and guide them through a world of new choices. LTC provides identical services at all five (5) of our offices in Hilo, Kona, Honoka'a & Waikoloa. We provide disease prevention and control services, health screening, health advocacy, outreach, traditional healing, fitness and nutrition programs, tobacco cessation, health insurance application assistance, cancer navigation, primary medical care, and dental care.

(Maui Community Theater) We offer: a full season of community theater productions, youth productions, dance concert, Fringe Festival, free ONO productions and more. Youth and Adult acting and dance classes. Multiple volunteer opportunities. Venue rental.

Provides social detoxification services for adults who are intoxicated or withdrawing from alcohol and/or drug dependency. Services include assessment and care plan, monitoring of vital signs, counseling, case management, addiction/health education and referral to treatment.

Offers group support to those diagnosed HIV-positive or with AIDS. Maintains confidentiality of attendees.

Hawaiian Council is offering up to $5,000 in financial assistance to help individuals and families replace vehicles lost due to the recent floods and storms. This program is designed to restore mobility and support impacted households in returning to work, school, and daily life. Award amounts will be based on demonstrated need and the verified funding gap, up to a maximum of $5,000. Funds will help with purchasing a replacement vehicle, reimbursement of a vehicle that was already purchased, or help with an existing auto loan balance. Financing options may also be available through Hawaiian Council’s Loan Fund, https://www.hawaiiancouncil.org/programs/cnha-loan-fund/.

The Kauai DHO serves the community with proficiencies in emergency preparedness, family health services, public health nursing, services for the developmentally delayed, environmental health services (vector control, clean air, clean water, and sanitation programs), vital statistics (births, marriages, and deaths), communicable disease control, and mental health services. Provides temporary assistance and information for residents of the Island of Kauai who have tested positive for COVID-19 and cannot safely self-quarantine or self-isolate at home. (FSSEAP) The program provides case management, educational advancement support for parents with children.

(LASR) The program assists persons with disabilities develop skills, enhance independence, encourage self-reliance, and increase community inclusion opportunities.

Serves as an informational resource for all EPA programs. Provides EPA materials to general public, Federal, Hawaii State and county government agencies, elected officials and environmental organizations. Conducts environmental outreach activities through Hawaii schools, community groups and environmental events. Developed teacher information packets of environmental lesson materials. Conducts speaking engagements at schools for all grade levels and the general public. Works to facilitate communication flow between Hawaii media and EPA personnel by assisting reporters in obtaining background information on news release subjects or directing the media to the proper Regional sources.
