Quality Care for Hawaiian Keiki (QCHK) is a child care subsidy program for Native Hawaiian in Maui County. QCHK goals are to help Native Hawaiian/Part Hawaiian families become more economically self sufficient as well as helping their children to become school ready. Program provides assistance to families to pay for child care, for children ages 0-13 and up to 19 years old for children with special needs. Child care includes Licensed Family Child Care Homes, Infant and Toddler Centers, Preschools, Before/After school Programs, Intercession care as well as License-Exempt providers. Provides help with child care providers in Maui County with any needs that they might have in the areas of training, health, safety and licensing.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Hawaii Island Community Health Center (HICHC) provides integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health care for the whole ohana. Services include, but are not limited to: primary care, preventative care, women's health, pediatric care, dental, same day visits, mental health care, confidential teen visits, substance use treatment, WIC services, community outreach, and school based health care. We can assist with insurance enrollment.

Serves as the liaison office for the Governor's Office in American Samoa. Helps people obtain documents such as birth and marriage certificates from the Vital Records Office; verification of completion of High School from the DOE and travel autorizations for those traveling without the proper documents. Also has a volunteer immigration case worker who assists with immigration and social services matters.

UCPA's Early Intervention Services is sponsored by the State of Hawaii's Department of Health - Early Intervention Section. The program provides services to children between the ages of birth to three years of age with developmental delays. Services are provided in each child's natural environment (e.g., home) with the goal of educating, enhancing and coaching parents and caregivers to support development within the context of the child's daily routines and activities.

Youth Services groups are offered in both East and West Hawaii to both boys and girls ages 12-17 who are deemed perpetrators of harm. The focus of this group is to offer tools for reducing impulsive behaviors, improving self esteem and increasing the level of social competence as well as addressing the dynamics of adolescent victimization. The Youth Service groups are 20 weeks long and group is once per week; however, times and days of group may vary by location.

Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) provides supportive services to meet the immediate and urgent needs of visitors to Hawaii Island who are victimized by crime, have medical emergencies, or suffer other adversities during their stay. (PAS) Patient Assistance Services assists patients with completing applications for medical insurance and medication assistance with the State Med-QUEST program, Medicaid, Medicare, Sliding Scale Fee, Federal Health Insurance Marketplace, etc, assists patients in coordinating interpreting services, and provides homeless outreach and home visits to complete applications.

The Community Teen Program provides Out-of-school Time services (OST) for youth ages 5-18 who live in and around the public housing complex Kuhio Park Terrace in Kalihi. This programs promote the development of healthy youth with an abundance of positive experiences for youth including educational, recreational, skill building, social emotional learning, community building and support services. Opens at 1:30pm on Wednesdays during the school year. Extended hours offered during summer and school intersessions. Intake form is good for 1 year.

Youth drop into the space and are given the opportunity to earn a bike by learning how to fix and maintain a bike in addition to volunteering to help maintain the flow of the shop. Each year there are 400 donated bikes that are refurbished by youth and about 4000 bikes are repaired though 9000 youth service hours.

(Ka'u Rural Health Clinic) Provides medical services and family practice.

The Department of Water Supply is a semi-autonomous agency of the County of Hawaii that is governed by the Water Board. They provide domestic water service through its 23 water systems throughout Hawaii island. Call to start or stop water service and billing questions.
