(Steadfast Pacific) Acquires, develops, owns, and manages permanent supported housing suitable for occupancy by persons in Hawaii with chronic mental illness, also known as SMI (Seriously Mentally Ill). Operates 29 group homes (including duplex units) and 6 condominium units. All clients are being provided with mental health supportive services at the Community Mental Health Centers.

AmeriCorps State and National engages in grant-making to support organizations that see service as a solution to local and national challenges. Funded programs—at state service commissions, tribes, and local, regional, and national organizations—use national service to address community needs across a range of focus areas. Awardees receive funds on an annual basis.

Our Wahiawa site opened in 1989. Our facility is located on the grounds of Olive Methodist Church, although we are not associated with any religious denomination. We offer a developmentally appropriate program, serving 49 children ranging in age from 2-5 years. Our toddler class accepts children in various stages of toilet training. Licensed by the State of Hawaii Department of Human Service and nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). All staff meet State licensing requirements. We accept DHS – Child Care Connection, Open Door, First-to-Work, Kamehameha Schools’ Keiki Pauahi Scholars Program, and Federal subsidies. All tuition payments are done through the FACTS Tuition Management program. Your child’s Form 14, current TB clearance and DHS 908 Form are required upon acceptance into the school. Parents are also responsible for a non-refundable registration fee of $175 upon acceptance. If there are no availabilities, your child’s application will be placed on the center’s waitlist. Hawaii Child Nutrition Programs' mission is to promote the importance of nutrition through federal compliance, education and partnerships.

Youth drop into the space and are given the opportunity to earn a bike by learning how to fix and maintain a bike in addition to volunteering to help maintain the flow of the shop. Each year there are 400 donated bikes that are refurbished by youth and about 4000 bikes are repaired though 9000 youth service hours.

(Easter Seals Hawaii Home and Community-Based Services, Easter Seals Hawaii Honolulu Services Center Adult Day Health Program) Adult Day Health (ADH) focuses on providing a small group environment that fosters growth, and challenges the adult participant to increase independence in a variety of community settings. Emphasis is placed on individual choice, allowing adults to pursue opportunities that match their interests and skills while promoting their dignity and independence. The program provides daily respite for individual and family caregivers as well as provides participants with educational, social, health and recreational opportunities. ADH participants have a full-range of activities to choose from including: the option to go on daily excursions, enjoy art programs, volunteer in the community, attend computer classes with the aid of assistive technology, learn money skills, participate in weekly hula classes or give back to the community through recycling programs. Adult Day Health - Adult Day Health programs are located in Central Maui and provide therapeutic environments for our participants to grow and learn. We offer enriching community activities, promote self-direction and provide individualized programming. Our staff are teachers, advocates and mentors collaborating to foster our participants’ independence and supporting them to achieve their goals. We provide daily transportation and lunch. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday, from 8:00 am-2:00 pm. Come join and grow with us! Personal Assistant Services - This is a 1:1 service, where the participant is matched with a fully trained staff who assists him/her with navigating the community or working in the participant's home to achieve his/her individualized goals. These goals are developed by the participant and his/her circle of support in order to increase his/her level of independence and community access. Service hours are evaluated by the Department of Health and based on the participant’s needs and goals. Employment Services - Arc of Maui County supports the premise that all participants shall have the opportunity for competitive and integrated employment. Employment services are discussed with the participant and their circle of support to identify their interests and preferences. Employment is a significant way to improve self esteem and support participants to be contributing members of their communities.
