Eligibility

60 years old or older. Residents of census tracks 38-66 (Ward Avenue to Fort Shafter area) are the priority. However, out of district adults who are age eligible may also be accepted.

Visit LMPSC twice, inform the front desk volunteers that you are visiting the senior center, and observe activities. Thereafter, contact Memberships Specialist and make an appointment to become a member.

Fees

Most activities based on donation basis. Students responsible for cost of supplies needed for classes. Membership dues for clubs.

(LMPC) The Lanakila Multi-Purpose Senior Center (LMPC) provides social, recreational, educational, cultural and health activities with the overall goal of helping seniors remain independent and preventing premature institutionalization. Classes in Arts and Crafts, Cooking, Cribbage and other board games, Dance (Chinese, Hula, Korean, Yui Buyo) , Digital Technology, Gardening, Guitar, Hanafuda, Japanese Calligraphy, Line Dancing, Mah Jong, Pickleball, Ping Pong, Language Classes (ASL, Japanese, Mandarin, Spanish), Sewing, Stretch and Tone, Tai Chi, Taisho Koto, Yoga, and many more classes. A variety of cultural clubs meet weekly. Opportunities for community service, obtaining new skills, health improvement, continuing education for seniors and access to other services.
