(BHOF) Provides a variety of educational programs and services to patients, their families and health professionals, including: written information on the prevention, detection, and treatment of osteoporosis; a website that is regularly updated with the latest information on bone health and osteoporosis; a patient information service; professional educational materials; and assistance in establishing and maintaining support groups. Works to increase public awareness of osteoporosis through prevention programs and campaigns, public policy forums and grassroots efforts.
