Eligibility

May apply in person at any of the 10 meeting sites on Oahu. 18 years and older.

Hours

Monday-Sunday 7am-8pm Except Foster Garden 9am-4pm Gardeners hold meetings at the following locations 1st Monday per month 7pm Ala Wai 3rd Wednesday per month 5:30pm Diamond Head 2nd Sunday per month 8:30am Dole 2nd Saturday per month 10am Foster Garden 1st Tuesday per month 6pm Hawaii Kai Last Saturday per month during the summer 8am Kaneohe Last Saturday of the month during winter 8:30am Kaneohe 2nd Tuesday per month 7pm Makiki 2nd Thursday per month 7:30pm Manoa 2nd Monday per month 5pm Moiliili Last Saturday per month 1pm Wahiawa

Need to apply in person at monthly site meeting.

Varies depending on size of garden plot.

Service area

Oahu

Gives the opportunity for people to garden with the Community Recreational Gardening Program, providing them with land and water. All other improvements and services shall be provided by the gardeners. Each Community Garden is run by a self-governing body following general rules and regulations set up by the City and County of Honolulu. Free Mulch given (while supplies last) at the following locations: Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden (Kaneohe), Hawaiian Earth Products (Kailua), Hawaiian Earth Products (Kapolei), Ala Wai Community Garden, Makiki Community Garden, Waimea Falls Park, Wahiawa Community Garden.
