Vocational Training Internship in Foodservices | Touch A Heart Hawaii

(Touch a Heart) We transform the lives of those facing barriers to employment by providing vocational training in a healing and nurturing environment, creating pathways to job placement. We partner with other nonprofit organizations that have underutilized commercial kitchens to create a food services training and apprenticeship program. These kitchens serve as our vocational training work sites and is also where we operate our social enterprises. Food Services Training Program 8-week program offering hands-on culinary training, field trips and guest speakers, hard and soft skills development, Hawaii Department of Health Food Handler Certification training, resume writing assistance and interview preparation, and job placement services Apprenticeship Program empowers graduates to advance their skills and learning through Baker’s Heart bakery with on-the-job training in production, customer service and sales We also have several for-profit businesses enterprises supporting our non-profit including Kupuna & Family Meals, Baker’s Heart baked products, and Touch A Heart Catering
